    grrrrr...rant...and a question.

    so here's a question for you folks...PARTICULARLY those of you who have been around here awhile. for the record, i'm Falnfenix(in case you guys didn't know).

    y'all know how i can be abrasive...and how i tend to avoid sugarcoating (in the past, this has almost been to the point of picking fights).

    i'm trying to avoid having a situation escalate further between another(NEW) member and myself...and i'm trying to see where i'm in the wrong here. this member PMs me, and in a roundabout way demands i change MY behavior on the forum. i find this particularly rediculous, as i've had little-to-no interaction with said member before now.

    here's my question to you: have i been behaving lately? have i been picking unnecessary fights with people? if i have been overbearingly abrasive, give me examples...i'd like to see what i've done lately.

    Ok... well for the record I have never been one to see you as a fight starter. You're very firm behind your opinion on things and very quick to point out a fault in factual discrepencies, but this does not make you a fight starter. Hell we're all guilty of that *looks at a few members* some of us more than others (even myself). So don't worry about it. :) 99% of us love ya. lol

    --- now in general ---

    I personally think and I'm stating this to the whole board, if you have a problem with a certain member you shouldn't instigate a fight (in PM or public) but need to let things go publically and handle it through the administration of this board. That's what we are here for. We're the only ones who can take any kind of action here in the first place and all pursuing arguments in public or private does is put at risk the loss of valuable members and damage to the community by means of unecessary drama.

    This is not a stab at any one in particular at this time because unfortunately we're dealing with this sort of thing between quite a few members. I'm not saying that we have to drop debate, moderated argument and the occasional slam of someone who states completely inaccurate information (cause thats what the internet is about, yay!) but the step past that which instigates unnecessary drama is a bit much. I personally don't have a problem with *anyone* in this community and don't think anyone needs to leave or be banned, but for fucks sake KNOCK IT OFF!

    thank you, hon. i will admit i've picked a fight or two in the past...but i've been trying to be particularly good - even to the degree of keeping my opinion to myself 99% of the time. you guys know how i can be...i'm more abrasive than i should be, i guess, but i'm trying to be a bit nicer, for the benefit of the forum as a whole. glad to see it hasn't been in vain. :)
