    How can this be done?

Bf and I were driving around today in the rolla and he said this to me, "Hey, why don't you mod this car so you and I can go at it? Just do whatever you need to do."

Mind you he has an '03 Cobra S/C and I put most of the mods on his car so I know what it's capable of doing. Plus, just did a dyno on it a few months back.

What in the world do I need to do to even pace with his car? To me, sounds like I should just start digging a hole to bury myself in. :(

    Can it be done?

I doubt there is much you can do to compete with a car like that unless you are willing to put A TON of money and time into your Corolla. How far can you throw a tennis ball?

I'd say start out with a 3SGTE swap and work from there

Some times people say that they will give you a head start as far as you can throw a tennis ball.

Oh, i c! Naw, my BF's a prick. He won't give anyone a head start even though he has an advantage.

What if I tried to drop in a 2JZ motor? LOL! Just wondering. Frankinstein my car. I don't know. I had other plans as I really wanted to make my car into a sleeper.

I would but Supra's are a little hard to come by over here. Right now is not a good time for me to be investing in car with a loan anyways. Paid off the corolla one time and it's nice to not have a car payment. Just sold my Lancer in November just because I didn't want to deal with 2 cars and paying a loan on a monthly basis.

For serious now, best bet is to swap in a 3sgte or 4agze engine in there, both require some wokr and quite a bit of monies but not as much as a new car would. If you swap in either of those two, then your would beef up the internals then boost the fuck out of it and *maybe* outrun the stang...

omg so lonely on vvti at 4:00 am hehem any more pics of your car?

Yeah just rebuild your top end to handle 25psi of boost :D Anything is possible. Cobra Mustangs are pretty heavy too so if you could get within 100hp of it you would be in good shape.

A stock 3rd gen. 3S-GTE puts out 265hp... with some bolt-ons and a bit more boost dialed-in, in a car as light as a Corolla, i'd be willing to bet it would give a stock SVT Cobra with the S/C 4.6 a good run... probably not on takeoff though, heh... but what mods are done to the Cobra, and any idea on what it runs in the 1/4 mile?

Talk to Vortex....he knows the deal behind making these cars fast. And Dr Tweak knows his shit when it comes to swaps as well.

Id stay away from Nitrous too.

you can do nitrus just relize that building the engine to handel it takes a hell of a lot of work... if you don't do it right expect to be rebuilding about every bottle.. ok a little exateration but seriously.. its rough on a motor

I can understand how you need to build a stronger engine to hold so much power and mods. Just don't know if it's really worth it. I think by the end of this summer I'll know for sure if I want to go that route. Right now, I think I need to spend a little more time in figuring out what the last owner did with the car. says 7afe on the sticker but was told it's a 7age. To get this cleared up .. someone please post a picture of what the 7age engine would look like.

    thanks!

there's no such thing as a 7age unless you build it yourself.

7afe block with a 4age head - valve covers would say 4age on them.
Then again, I could be mistaken.

The Doc could hook you up with something, but Canada-err-Vermont is a fairly good..swim. :p

Yes that's what I mean. but I bought the car modded. I alreayd know the original was a 7afe. So I"m asking what it would look like if it was a 7age.
