Military. Smokers get breaks and the rest of us do not.

Upstairs where I work, they're having an issue with smoke breaks. It seems that alot of people are taking extra breaks just to go smoke when they're only allowed 1 15min break and a 45min lunch. or just a one hour lunch. But people are taking 3-4 10-15min breaks and an hour lunch. To top it off, they're not on top of their work so now they're restricting people from getting up from their desks unless its to go to the bathroom, lunch/break, or to ask for help.

very true. however, here at work you can only smoke in certain areas. Considering the building is huge, people have to walk to the "designated areas" in order to smoke and the majority of them are on the other side of the building.

The way you do it should be the way anyone should do it. But some take advantage of the situation.

It does, but thats the only way people will do their work. You'd think collection officers would take their job a little more seriously. those extra breaks they take can be extra time on the phones collecting money.

you should just bring a pack and make like you're smoking but don't, just to get the extra breaks. :)

it was their choice to start smoking. They are the ones lacking self-control, so why should they get preferential treatment because of it?
