    Finally the rolla is BACK!!!!!!

Finally got the 5spd swap done. Drives perfectly and it is alot faster then before specially that we ported the heads. Just ask if you guys want anymore info on the rebuild and swap. Sorry, the car looks like crap. The main thing was to get it back and running now all I need to do is put back everything and work on cosmetics for a bit to get it back to the way it looked.

Was a hole cut to allow that pipe into the fender? I don't see the filter, so it looks like a CAI. How much faster is the car with the ported heads? The car looks great though. Congrats!

The only issues I ran into was trying to get all the parts for the swap was the main problem. Everything else went smoothly. I estimated that it took us only around 7-8 hours for the manual swap. The only whole I had to make was for the master cylinder and the base for the clutch already had a place to bolt on to on the car. Also the intake is a CAI leading to the tiny hole I enlarged near the fender. Oh I forgot the car is alot faster then before after everything done to it. TurismoDreamin felt it first hand today.

Did you just move the battery and coolant overflow bin towards the passenger side? That battery looks smaller than stock too.

And after riding in it first hand, I can say that its definately much MUCH faster than the auto....it feels like a huge improvement in torque as well..

Eh, the 5 speed is probably a half second or less faster to 60 than your car. The biggest difference being felt in Fastrolla96's car is coming from the ported head/CAI combo, because a normal 5 spd AE101 isn't going to snap your neck back like TurismoDreamin was talking about.

well I raced my girlfriend's bug today and it got me on first gear cause I had a bad start, but after that I just lost her. The only thing I've lost to so far is the new cobalt, but my girl was driving and she had a crappy start and redlined on 2nd gear. I'm very happy with the work done and it was worth keeping my car after all cause all the looks I get from people driving by is a great feeling.

Nice job bro, yeah throw a turbo on it and you will be set to go! I just finished up my 5-speed with the hybrid 1zz-fe tranny/c52 bell housing and also re-built the motor with new gaskets and a ported head, and valve job, oh yeah, it's nice! Also a new turbo, It's a nissan motors turbo with a .60 trim. Very nice. Last thing, I figured out how to wire the clucth up so you can only start it using the clutch! Very sweet! Keep up the good work bro! Lots of respect for continuing with the 93-97's.

It is alot of fun to drive specially when I'm beating down on cars who think I'm just a regular corolla. Sad thing is though I can't manage to have the car in one piece cause now I need a new wheel hub, sunroof doesn't work, front bumper is cracked like crazy, and one racing seat is broke.

Hey man, nice to see you're up and running again. If you don't mind me asking, what did you spend on the porting process?

FastRolla, your PM box is full so Ill just post it here.

Do you have the color code for your car? I know where to find it, but its been scratched out over time. I noticed our cars are the same color, so do you mind telling me what the color code is if you have it?
