Well lets see... I've been living in Pearl City for a while now. I was born here... moved up to Cali when I was 2, then moved back in the 4th grade... been here ever since!

What about you?... I mean, you have much more car knowledge than me (because for the life of me I couldn't change my own oil)... and you live here... that's about all I know!

What do you mean you can't change your own oil? No ways?!?! Back on subject, born and raised here.. never left except to visit family up in the states and I'm planning on getting off this rock as soon as I get my stuff together.

Tell me more about your rolla and how you came to having an interest in toyota vehicles?

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know... sad huh? I guess I could say that I got interested in my rolla when my friend got on the b15 sentra boards (which I also post on from time to time, as I've done a sticker job for them). He had picked up alot of useful information on the boards and there was even a Hawaii Club. As far as any interest in Totota vehicles is concerned... I just wanted a place where I could find information and a place to share mine...

I've got a stock '01 S... I've got some aftermarket sounds and some neons... that's about it...

01 S .... not bad. I like the gen before that, I think. My bf's classmate has one and I like that body style better. I mean no offense but the newier gen's body style looks like they just took the Echo look and slapped on a few things on it. IMO.. and I don't even like the echo.

You are thinking of the "fat ass" 03-05 gen corolla , the 98-02 gen is the good looking one (my sig). As for the 808, I go on vacation there almost every year :lol

How bald is bald? What the tread life on those things? Are you planning on getting bigger rims. Curious.

Well only 2 tires are bald, as in bald like no tread left. Tread life sucks on the tires because I used them on alot of autocross days and my car likes to slide, and I'm sticking with the 16 inch rim, the 14's are on because of the lack of tread on the 16s.

oh I see. time to buy some tires. my tires are the same way. The previous owner spray painted the hubs white and it's SOOO embarrassing. that trend was long gone. Need to find a time when I'm not lazy to pop those things off.

I'm into performance mods and not that much into cosmetics.

I didn't get the chance to mod it myself. Mods were on the car already so I don't even know type or brand as of yet.

    -intake
    -exhaust system(I think it sucks)
    -headers

the next 6 months I'm re-doing the whole engine and engine bay. Hopefully I can find someone to do a trans convertion here. So far, no one does it at shops which sucks. If I can't find someone I'm going to learn on my own (as always), I can never seem to depend on anyone but myself. Plus, right now isn't a good time as I'm reshaping my friends rx8 body kit and finding time to drive it over to get it painted. so I've been too busy to do my own car lately.

I'm gonna do the whole trans swap this summer ( was gonna do it last year but i got hit by a bitch with no insurance and had to pay my deductible to get car fixed) and hopefully get into all performance mods from then on, i'm pretty happy with what my car exterior wise looks like at the moment.

Same here. It was over a year ago. Dec. 24, '04. Got rear-ended by an old guy driving a Infinity I30 (if I can remember correctly). Dead stop traffic and I have no idea how someone could have full on rear-ended the car. Total to get the frame pulled and new bumper AND match the EXACT color of the car came out to a little over 3K. Plus, they gave me a good amount for the settlement since my knee was seriously injured from the accident.

You know, I could see something like this happening right by the Pearl City off ramp just past the Kaonohi St overpass... I've seen WAAAAAAYYYY... too many accidents happen there!

yeah no kidding. For some strange reason traffic is backed up just before that cut off before that slope. It's like people don't know how to go down a hill and come back up maintaining a speed. Just before that slope, traffic is built up ... EVERY DAMN DAY!!!!. Once you pass that cut off, it's fine but then you hit traffic again just as you pass the on-ramp from pearl city headed in the ewa direction. What's up with that? Crazy I tell you.

but... I got into the accident right where there's the Radford pedestrian over pass around where the NEX is located on the freeway.

Speaking of that new off ramp, there has already been an accident there. I think people are used to having two lanes for that off ramp that they mistaken it and find themselves having to go straight and want to cut off people taking the off ramp to waimalu/pearl city and they end up getting into a major accident. I agree with you. They DO need to hurry up and open all lanes for that area.

cool! what part of Hawaii? is he on the same island as davalkyrieace and I (Oahu/Honolulu/Waikiki)?

what happened was an old man and his grand-daughter was in the car and I think he ended up reversing into a few cars before he ended up driving the car into the water. His grand-daughter was rescued after making a 911 call but they were unable to save him. Sad!

OMG! They're opening up Wal-mart by Pearl Highland's the ending of this month.

NM... I saw that on the news, but I have this thing for waking up at like 7:30 and falling asleep w/ the TV on in the living room while listening to the news... just so happens that I saw that particular story... yes very sad.

WOW... end of the month?... I live right by pearl city highschool so that's less than 5 minutes away. Yay for useless walmart trips!:D
