    thanks guys:)

those photos were taken by canon 10D~

    hey Barnacules~
are you into photography too? I'm new to this,:)

the wax i used was purchased in Taiwan awhile back. i wasn't sure if it was made in Taiwan or Japan, because it has japanese writting on it. It wasn't that expensive too.
After that i applied some Mcquire Detail spray.
hope that helps. i can post up t he wax i used if you want to know more about it.

I'm just getting into photography but I'm struggling. I have the Canon 20D with 550EX flash and 18-55 & 75-300 lenses. My lenses are all F3.5 which may have something to do with why I can't get awesome photos. Do you use a tripod to take you photos?

Also do you custom set your white ballance? Because those photos have really great light. Could you post some before and after shots so we can see what kind of post processing you are doing to get those results?

i just started like 3 month ago, and it's been busy for me to take photo these day..ai
F3.5? can't you adjust the the apeture to smaller? can you post some of photo you took?
I used tripod 90 % of the time. even tho i need to practice more on handling the camera. :p tripod is very helpful, if you rarely use it, then you should use it more often. it helps a lot. you will see the differece it make :)

i didn't do much on the photo except the border and abit of clone the model's body. photo i post it are pretty much what i shot.
the custom white balance were done on the camera when i was taking photo. those one with colder color were used lower kelvin, and warmer photo were higher kevin.

Question about apeture, how do you call the apeture #? Do you call F2 small or big? It's small in # but it's big in the hole (LOL).

i should make it clear~ i always refer to the actual size of aperture, not the number

the bigger the number the smaller the aperture. the smaller the number the bigger the aperture.

the smaller the apeture the bigger the depth of field. the bigger the sperture the shorter the depth of field.:)

"Fully zoomed out" means the apreture of the lens is set to its lowest possible setting which with my lens is F3.5 at 18mm. So I basically have to leave the shutter open longer to get good exposures and this can cause blur without a tripod. even with a tripod this can cause blur if your not using a remote. I need to get a lens that has an F2.8 because then I think I would get much sharper better exposed pictures in normal light.

BTW, the Asian girl all the way to the right in the Corolla pic is really cute, do you know who she is. I think I saw her at Hot Import Nights in Seattle, WA once too.

yeah i did notice that i still blur some of my photo even i use tripod. What i do recently is that i use the timer to take picture. therefore, i won't touch the camera at all. you can try taht , but it will take 10 second more.

you should get sharper photo by use smaller aperture tho. correct me i'm wrong please.

i use very small aperture in the last couple photo. if i remember correctly, i used F22 at 30 sec shuuter speed.

Yeah, smaller the apreture the more light the camera takes in. But I thought that the lens determined the apreture size based on its level of zoom. More zoom = higher apreture. But somehow you have figured it out if your doing 30 second exposures and not becomming over exposed :) F22 is pretty huge for an apreture and that is why its taking 30 seconds to get the exposure. But I'm not sure how your setting that :)

the aperture is set by you not by the zoom. the apeture will be the same even you zoom in all the way in or all the way out. the aperture is a diaphram that control the amount of light enter into the film.

higher depth of field will get you more clear in the background and foreground. Lower depth of feild will get you clear view of the boject you are taking photo, but a bit blured background. You will need more light for F22, and that is why i set it at 30 sec. However, incerase the ISO speed will also do the trick, the bad part is that the noise will be higher if you increaseth ISO speed.

you should be able to learn more info on this page
