    question about corolla security system

Can I buy a keyless remote for a 03+ corolla and program it to work for my 98 factory security system?

Could be possible - if they were designed for the same base system. The one I got with the car was a Toyota VIP RS3200+ system. The ones I've seen on Matrix and 9th gen Corolla are also RS3200+ systems.

Not 100% sure that is the case, could be running changes from model year to model year. I know that the remotes look different between the two generation.

hehe i'd just upgrade to a new alarm system - sadly the stock security system isn't the greatest

Get a Viper system that incorporates better features. I doubt the stock system does much more than honk the horn when a door is opened.

eh my stock system has a shock sensor that only works when there is eather realy bad thunder or if a dog barks somewhere in a 3 mile radius of my car... if any body knocks up aginst it, it won't go off... also it is supost to arm its self after 30 seconds... that happens sometimes, and only ever if I have the trunk open. I could go down the list of problems I have but I'd get booted for having too long of a post.
    come january I'm getting a clifford :)
