Cant imagine those are glass. Glass would be shattered the first use of an impact gun.

my guess would be some form of plexi or plexi-like material.

There is no way any glass or plexy would hold under those kinds of stresses. My guess would be that there are about 10,000 little tentioned spokes that are like fishing line size that you dont see and then it has high temp polycarbonate or plexy just covering it. I honestly don't know how else they could do it, hell i'm even skepticle about what I just said pulling it off ;)

my guess is it's a clear steel or aluminum. I think they can make them clear if they mix it with something else. becomes almost like a kevlar type material.

i bet those wheels will break over time and is not recommended for hard cornering just for show only... so those probably aren't street legal

If you find any information on this process I would be interested. I thought translucent metal was impossible to create but maybe someone has beat the system :)

My guess would be though if someone invented transparent steel or aluminum we would know about it before a set of wheels showed up made out of it ;) I mean NASA would have a transparent shuttle or something hehe.

Wow that is slick! I've never seen that before. It could be Lexan, a good 3" thick or more. Thats the strongest plastic I know of.

Now all they have to do is engrave some slick design in the back of it and light it up with some LEDs. That would be crazy lookin'

Yeah I agree. I doubt you're going to see that guy actually driving on those rims, much less doing anything like autox. They'd probably scratch and crack pretty easily.
