    allrighty --- finished off the 300 mile inspection of the motor --- all seems good so far. Only problem zones are noted:

    1. Had a minor oil leak from the oil feed line on the turbo -- for some reason this wasn't tight enough (probably my fault as the turbo system was all me, lol) It didn't cause any real problems just had some minor oil seepage. The drain line also had a symptom of leakage, however i removed it, cleaned the area and replaced it (w/o dropping *ANY* oil.) :)

    2. Cam retainers needed to be tightened a little more - I expected this after a little run time -- everything is a little quieter now under there.

    3.There is an exhaust leak --- however I believe this is due mainly to the gasket destruction. :)

    4. I threw a CEL today, tee hee --- I think this was due to bringing the boost back up a little bit... running it at 6psi and the richness factor with no cat probably triggered a CEL since the ECU hadn't started from scratch on the new fuel map --- WAHOO! hehe I'll have to see how it pans out over the next few days... fuckin cars.

    Overall everything is lookin good - gonna see how she is @ 600 miles next Wednesday then make the call.

    Hot diggity damn!

    A) I believe that you tightened that up around...around 3:00, so if you didn't lose all your oil, all over the housing that right there is a plus. So is the leak completely gone? Or does the line still have that tendancy?

    B) Did that injector noise / lifter rattle (whatever you determined it to be) soften up / go away completely?

    C) Project time!

    D) The great CEL of all time: "Massive Engine Failure."
    That was with no coolant and a really nasty cracked intake manifold.

    CEL - Check Engine Light

    Ok, I think I've discovered where the CEL is coming from ... seems I've got an exhaust leak around the wastegate to the downpipe... so this is causing oxygen to be sucked in around the leak --- thus triggering my lower O2 sensor to believe I'm running lean --- this in turn has my car running at a 11.5:1-10:1 AFR which is pissing me off. The ECU thinks I'm running lean however my wideband is showing that I'm fine... GHEI. Since the ECU is compensating for the false reading it has it too rich and its throwing a cat failure CEL because the shit is too rich around the second O2. So, I have to track down a new wastegate gasket and hope that fixes the problem.
