Alright Ming, you take care! Let us know if/whenever you're coming back!

In the picture the ones on the left do have texture to them and the right ones stick out like a little speed bump. I guess you can say they're stickers at the same time while they are emblems due to thickness. Oh well, I'll bring 'em to the next meet anyways for anybody else that wants/needs 'em. lol:D

ya they are but i guess with gas prices these days - sales are still affected.
so far, the only company that havent lowered their prices is honda.
i think toyota is doing everything they can to sell to remain number 1. right now they're number 1, then GM, then VW i think, ford and hyundai/kia. yup, hyundai/kia is now number 5 in terms of sales!
they were piece of crap before and now they're number 5 in sales.

Hyundai-Kia now in top five worldwide

Seoul, South Korea - The Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group has moved up as the world’s fifth-largest automaker with global sales of 3,961,629 units in 2007. The company was sixth worldwide in 2006. The figures were confirmed by Automotive News’ 2008 Global Data Book.

“We are extremely proud of having achieved this goal in such a short period of time,” said Ik-Hwan Kim, vice-chairman and CEO of Kia Motors. “We have been stressing the value of our products over the last few years and our efforts have not gone unnoticed by the public or the industry, neither quantitatively or qualitatively.”

The group was the world’s eleventh-largest automaker in 1999, and has moved steadily up in the rankings as the company pushed for global operations by building new manufacturing plants in the U.S., China, India, Slovakia, Czech, Russia and Brazil. Counting complete knock-down kits (CKD), which are assembled by overseas partners, the Group’s 2007 global sales reached 4,146,743 units (Automotive News excludes CKD sales).

Worldwide by Automotive News’ ranking, the top ten automakers by sales, in order, for 2007 are Toyota, General Motors, Volkswagen, Ford, Hyundai-Kia, Honda, Nissan, PSA/Peugeot, Chrysler and Fiat.

Toyota will build Prius in U.S., cut trucks

Erlanger, Kentucky – Toyota has announced changes to the production mix at three of its North American operations in response to consumer demand, including the addition of the Prius. The Prius, which is scheduled to start production in late 2010 at a plant under construction in Blue Springs, Mississippi, will join the Kentucky-built Camry Hybrid as the second Toyota hybrid built in North America.

The Highlander midsize SUV, originally scheduled to be built in Mississippi, will now be manufactured in Princeton, Indiana, beginning in the fall of 2009, while production of the Tundra full-size pickup truck, currently built in Indiana and Texas, will be consolidated at the San Antonio, Texas plant in the spring of 2009. In addition, the company will temporarily suspend Tundra and Sequoia production, beginning August 8, 2008, due to the declining overall market for full-size trucks and SUVs. Production is scheduled to resume in early November.

“The truck market continues to worsen, so unfortunately we must temporarily suspend production,” said Jim Wiseman, vice-president, external affairs for Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America. “But this good news about production mix demonstrates our long-term commitment to our North American operations and to our team members, supplier partners, and communities where our plants are located. By using this downturn as an opportunity to develop team members and improve our operations, we hope to emerge even stronger.”

Actually not surprising that they are the most improved auto manufacturer in the industry. Consumer reports rate the Elantra as the budget buy of the year. Value, quality and dependability.

Toyota has too much invested in hybrids to jump ship to diesel right now. Plus from what i've read their diesels aren't nearly as good as honda's. It wouldn't pass the emissions tests for North america.

there is no point for diesels right now cuz the demand is lot more then gasoline so cost more to fill up... toyota said cost too much to build design diesel engine for here in north america plus toyota is testing hydrogen cars..

so i'm looking to get a new pc before school starts in sept.
what would u guys suggest? amd or intel? i will be using it for email, surfing, editing pics - nothing serious.

i'm gonna get branded, not time to build one and tired of building my own.
i've seen quite a few with good specs at FS or BB... approx. $400 to $500 with 3gb ram, at least 200gb hd, etc.
havent been keeping up with amd and intel chips - so many different kinds out there now.
i have an amd athlon now and i just reloaded win xp about 2 weeks ago. machine is 5yrs old and runs perfectly.
so should i stick with amd or go intel?

Mazda Canada reduces prices on 2009 models

Richmond Hill, Ontario - Mazda Canada is reducing the manufacturer suggested retail prices for its 2009 models. The price reductions on the most popular vehicles range from $800 to $3,200, or 4% to 12%, compared to the 2008 models.
“The strength of the Canadian dollar has allowed us to repackage and reprice our 2009 models to strengthen the value equation…” said Mike Collinson, Director of Marketing and Vehicle Planning for Mazda Canada.

2009 Mazda3: The suggested retail price of the 2009 Mazda3, in sedan, hatchback, and MAZDASPEED versions, has been reduced by $2,000 on all trim grades, or between 6% and 12% depending on the model. The 2009 Mazda3 GX sedan starts at $14,895 while the hatchback starts at $15,895, and the MAZDASPEED3 at $29,360.

2009 Mazda6: The new, second-generation Mazda6 intermediate sedan will arrive at Canadian Mazda dealerships in August of this year with a suggested retail price of $22,495 for the GS trim grade with four-cylinder engine. The 2009 Mazda6 GS-I4 includes several standard features not available on the previous model and is still $2,000, or 8%, less than the price of the same 2008 Mazda6. For the Mazda6 GT model with four-cylinder engine the 2009 retail price is $27,395, a reduction of $3,000, or 10%, compared to the 2008 GT-I4. Six-cylinder models on the 2009 Mazda6 are comparably priced with 2008 models but have a new, larger and more powerful engine, a new 6-speed automatic transmission, 18-inch alloy wheels, and numerous safety features not available on the previous version of the Mazda6.

2009 Tribute: The 2009 Tribute receives some significant upgrades for the 2009 model year including a larger four-cylinder engine, a more powerful V6 engine, and new automatic transmission. For the 2009 model year the suggested retail prices have been lowered by $155 to $900 dollars depending on the model and now has a starting price of $22,550 for the four-cylinder GX model.

2009 CX-7: For the 2009 model year the retail price of the GS model has been reduced $2,100 to $29,995 while the GT model has been reduced by $1,600 to $35,695.

2009 CX-9: For the 2009 model year the suggested retail price starts at $36,795, a reduction of $3,200 from the 2008 model. The top-of-the-line GT trim grade has been reduced by $2,430 and now has a list price of $44,395.

Prices for the 2009 Mazda5, B-Series pickup trucks and MX-5 convertible will be announced at a later date closer to their introduction at the end of the year. The 2009 RX-8 sports car was introduced earlier this Spring.

    Toyota Prius Killer!
    - By Sam Mitani • Photos by Brenda Priddy & Company

Our team of spy photographers caught the next-generation Honda hybrid in the scorching deserts of the Southwest performing hot-weather testing. You can immediately tell from the car's profile that Honda's new "green" car is going straight after the Toyota Prius. Although the car is heavily camouflaged, you can see the basic overall design that mimics Toyota's popular hybrid and is heavily influenced by the shape of the company's FCX Clarity fuel-cell concept that appeared at the last Tokyo Motor Show. Back then, the FCX was introduced as a sporty hybrid, but it's obvious from these photos that usable economy is the name of the game now. Some have speculated that this new car will replace the now-discontinued Insight in Honda's lineup, while others maintain that it will become the new Civic Hybrid. Whichever label it wears, one thing for sure is that it will be one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in the world, and may wrest the crown away from the Prius as the world's favorite green car.

The price of this new car will be low, as Honda maintains it will be an entry-level car with 200,000 units selling annually — half of those to be sold in the United States. Early rumors indicate that it may be as low as $19,000. With seating for five, this 4-door, front-wheel-drive hatchback will be using an updated motor-assist hybrid system and an advanced nickel/metal-hydride system, not lithium-ion batteries. We're not sure yet on the gasoline part of the equation; it could be the company's lean-burning 1.3-liter inline-4 (in the current Civic Hybrid) or something even leaner. The expectation is class-leading fuel economy, no doubt way north of 5.9 L/100km. Look for the new Honda Hybrid to arrive at dealerships in late 2009.

I know I've asked in the past, but I'm now almost certain that I'll get a DSLR in the next month or so. I've settled that I'll get something entry level to learn on so I'm looking at the D40/D40x, XT/XTi. I'm still currently using a Canon S2IS (12x optical zoom).

But I still have no clue on lenses. I know a few of you here have DSLR's so can you help me out? What lenses would I need?

I would probably shoot both day and night. I would probably use it to shoot cars and people. Also for traveling so landscape shots. I like the odd macro shot as well. I don't think I'll use it too much for sports, so we can omit that.

How many lenses would I be looking at and which ones? If you could also tell me what all the numbers mean as well. I've looked some stuff up on the web, but maybe a simplified explaination would help.
