Engine 1ZZ VVT-i vs Non VVT-i Differences

    I've been finding small differences between the engines which no one seems to mention.

    Piston Compression Height
    • VVT-i 1.268"
    • Non VVT-i 1.256"
    I've also found that the Non VVT-i engines use the bigger valves that the 1ZZFED uses:

    But they both have the same hp? So explain that

    non-vvti has 5hp less and 3lbs less torque.Also ecu programming has a lot to do with it.

    I think the bigger valve ports being bigger has been mentioned somewhere but nice find !:thumbsup:

    It probably has but its not easy to find this info in one spot anymore by the looks of it.

    Yeah im actually trying to find something now its a but hard

    I usually google search the whole site for images or by a certain members name for reference photos

    So ive read somewhere that the corolla 1zz with vvti 5 spd can use the 2zzge injectors... So my question is can the stock rail be used ?

    Stock rail can be used and it doesnt matter if the car is an auto or manual the 1zz and 2zz both use Denso Type E injectors.1zz injectors flow around 260cc and I'm pretty sure 2zz are around 310-330cc
