I was cleaning out the shed/looking for christmas lights and found a corolla TRD muffler. Its been years since Ive owned the car but can still remember the nice tone it made in the low RPMs. I was gonna toss it but hate to throw stuff away. Is it worth anything to anyone?

    Guess nobody bought it.

Is there a performance gain, or is it strictly a sound thing?

    LOL holy bump....

The muffler does make the car sound alot better, not too loud and not to quiet plus it looks sexy.

I'm not going to say it actually does increase HP because honestly the car drives the same, wont know until you actually put it on a dyno.

    Hey cBass

Deff one hell of a bump. Since I'm new here I'm just browsing and digging up old stuff.

I'll tell ya what. . . You do have me curious. If there is an available good condition TRD muffler available I will entertain the idea of placing cash in that persons hand.

But like all things for our old 8 gens. That will be rare.

    Thanks Gents. Appreciate the input.

At cruising speed does it generate any noise in the cabin? Or is it nice n quiet? I prefer the TRD Muffler mostly for its aesthetics and minor if any gain in top end. My VE is a highway cruiser, but the 3 speed hurts me on milage. Still I average about 28MPG and roll well over the posted limit on a daily.

I'll reach out and see if its still obtainable.

From what I've heard, the muffler is actually pretty loud.

Yeah it drones a bit, you might want a bigger resonator to get rid of the drone.
