Just bought it off my little sister for $150 it needs some work but its worth fixing and will be replacing my 2000 focus, i have a thing for cheap cars. Its too shitty outside to get a decent pic at the moment but once it gets nice i'll take one, not that this thing is gonna win any beauty pageants.

It's somewhat of a mini project to keep me busy when im not working and i want to get rid of the focus before the engine drops a valve seat and leaves me stranded. The sohc's are known for this!

Might be able to snap a pic later on today, its 4:40am now im only awake because i work nights.Anyways some more info on the car its a CE with an auto, pwr locks,a/c,tach cluster, viper remote start,248,xxx kms.It needs a rear strut (replacing both),upper engine mount, doughnut gasket, balancer seal (also known as crank seal?) the whole side of the engine is covered in oil and a hole in the rocker panel fixed. It was owned by an elderly couple that took good care of it before my sister bought it.

I can do all this for around $400CAD, This is factoring in possible brake work from it sitting all winter but we'll see if it really needs them.

I cant see me putting a ton of money into mods, maybe a strut bar.

Well then don't waste your money on useless mods like strut bars lol

Get some s-tech springs instead, those are cheap enough and will help the car look and handle a lot better!

I have no interest in lowering the car, with the way the roads are around here it would be a bad idea. And an adjustable strut bar will stiffen up the car a bit and limit chassis flex, im not saying its a replacement for a proper performance suspension but it does have minor benefit.

I plan on adding a drop in filter and some rims, i like tasteful mods and not flashy stuff or parts where the performance gain doesnt justify the cost.As for performance i was thinking a zex wet nitrous kit and porting the stock shorty header.I wish i had kept the zex kit i bought a few years ago, got it for a good price.

Im not into aftermarket intakes since the piping is usually overkill for a small engine or loud exhausts especially where i have an auto and it will drone like a bitch.I may not be well received here lol i also hate negative camber, stretched/poked wheels, or any of that useless 'look at me' stuff.

Right now i will be just concentrating on repairing the problems the car has and making sure its reliable before i go modding it.

Well the stock air filter does fine, just make sure it's clean. Anything else other than a whole intake system would be a waste "where the performance doesn't justify the cost". Same with a strut bar, those are 100% useless. And if your roads are good enough for nitrous, they are good enough for stiffer suspension lol. If you want to "stiffen up the car a bit and limit chassis flex", then springs, coils, and sway bars are the only ways to increase suspension performance and justify the cost. Sounds like you've got your head around what you want to do, so have at it!!

$150 for a 2000 corolla, nice and probably bargain of the century, welcome onboard mate !

overall condition of the car is pretty good mate, interior looks good too
some alloys will make it looks like a good beautiful daily car, perfect for all year driving lol
I suggest Corolla S/ Celica 3 spoke steering wheel as well, it will make the car look more sporty and young.\
cant wait to see the finished product !

p.s: your attitude toward mods are very similar to me lol

thats true man, i understand that too. thanks for your compliment too, i always appreciate people who like my car ! especially it isnt really that shine like a diamond like a lot of great cars around!

If u need replacement shock, i suggest KYB though, works great and not too expensive, little bit stiffer than OEM. ( I am using that on my car)

yeah, if u need help about these car, i am gladly to help .
You have grey interior to begin as well, which is great ( at least better than beige lol)

p.s: these car pretty much have no problem lol seriously

p.p.s: U live nova Scotia? nice place, i thought is PEI at first lol
