Beautiful car! i will admit im not a fan of stretched tires or negative camber though.I love all the weird quirky options jdm cars have, i had a 91 skyline gtr that had some kind of air circulation or purifying thing on the rear but it never worked.Did your car come with factory road flares? mine did and i heard all jdm cars have them.

A skyline to a corolla? I'm assuming not a gtr but still even the regular skylines are dope.

Thanks! I'm not a fan of huge amount of negative camber and crazy stretched tires either, but done subtly it looks nice in my opinion. Yep, my one came factory with a road flare. They all get removed at the border when they come in from Japan though so mine didn't have one for years, until I found one at a wreckers that they must have missed when it came into the country :)

I'm very proud to announce that my Corolla is featured in the 'Daily Driven' section of this month's NZ Performance Car magazine :D. It's available in stores nationwide here in New Zealand and read by hundreds of thousands of people, so when I saw that it had come out a day early yesterday I immediately bought two copies. I've scanned the page and uploaded it below. The quality isn't 100% due to the scanner but still easily readable. To view it, simply click on the image below and press the zoom button (magnifying glass symbol) in the bottom right hand corner and then once more when the image pops up:

I got my car certified last week and it's now 100% legal :D. You only have to get a cert done if you install coilovers or do an engine swap etc, so when I had mine done I got the engine, coilovers, brakes and a couple of other things put on the cert plate to avoid any trouble with the cops in the future.

I also scored a genuine TRD fuel cap yesterday. I've always wanted one but had other things to spend money on for the car instead, so when I managed to get my hands on this one for free I was pretty happy:

In all honesty I've only ever been pulled over once, and that was a few weeks before I got the cert. I had been planning on getting it done but was still getting around to booking it in etc, so once I got pulled over and was told that there'd be consequences if I was seen driving without one in future I booked it in straight away to avoid any further trouble. Although in saying that, the cop who pulled me over has pulled me back over again to check if it now has a cert, so I'm still waiting for that to happen, not that I have anything to hide this time, lol.

Thanks! Maybe visit a compliance center and see if they'll give your car a quick check over and provide you with a certificate of compliance, although if you don't require one by law I personally wouldn't bother :)

A few small updates from me:

I installed these aftermarket Denso Japanese "J Horn Power'd" horns. Here's a video/sound clip comparing them to my original OEM dual horns:

These Rays wheel nuts turned up yesterday from Japan:

Annnnd I bought a leaf blower to dry the cars after washing. Turns a half hour job into a 5-minute job and gets into all of the cracks and crevices, leaving the car bone dry. Wish I had started doing it years ago!

I assumed your OCD was as bad as mine, I would have straightened out those nuts so the words were straight for the picture, then tightened them up after lol

LOL, the funny part is that's EXACTLY what I did :p. I didn't loosen ALL of the nuts so they were straight, but just the one that was the main focal point. If you look at photo #2 you'll see that the left nut has got the writing positioned vertically, but in the photo #3 taken from that side you'll notice that it's magically horizontal ;)
