My latest addition is this rather rare USDM carpeted trunk lid liner. This was only available for the American market, so being the huge fan of factory options/accessories that I am I just had to have it, even if it wasn't an original JDM item. A good friend in the US kindly sent it over to me and I installed it a few minutes ago.

The bare skin of the trunk lid is no longer visible, creating a more elegant and luxurious look, usually reserved for higher spec'ed cars such as the Lexus range. One unexpected bonus is that the trunk now closes easily on it's own when you drop it from the top due to the extra weight of the carpet, whereas previously it would require a helping hand to latch in properly.

It's certainly not the most exciting optional extra in my collection, but it's simple and effective, just how I like it :)

It's not every day someone installs a USDM part as an optional extra lol.

if i remember correctly, a thread of installing those on an 8th gen was somewhere on the forums. Might need to check these out at the junk yard and test fit it on an 8th gen.

    Looking good there
Now the screams from the trunk wont be heard, but atleast they would have a comfy ride
    ,)
Did it make the ride less noisy?

Yeah I'm surprised it took so long, with how common they are here. I guess there aren't too many shipping parts from here to there!

Na Adam wasn't behind this one. It was a guy called Dima who has a black sedan. I sold him an FX bumper a little ago, among other things :)

Haha yeah, it was pretty weird to be installing a USDM part on my Corolla but I honestly thought I'd never see the day
Haha precisely! It also seems to keep the bodies warmer for a little bit longer too, which is never a bad thing . Haven't noticed any decrease in road noise however, although it's pretty quiet when cruising at the best of times

I remember I was going to buy the trunk carpet off you when you were parting it out! But the shipping was $50 USD and I had loads of other things I needed to do back then :(
I got these "Slammed Corolla" stickers in the mail from Iceland today, so I was quick to slap them on:
