    I agree with your way it should have been done.
    The real thing also makes me think of a whale with it's mouth open. imagine cleaning that front from bugs?
    Interesting enough I have seen a lot of VW/Audi cars with a mod to make the front grill section look like this new Lexus.
    It must be a fashion thing
