that's because it was supposed to merge with my previous comment, a :DAFUQ:, because you got posts in so my :DAFUQ: didn't make sense, but then neither did the additional quote.

I followed that completely. Gold is a DAB and can't post all of his thoughts at once. So his :DAFUQ: was supposed to be followed by his quote of Sir Captian, but Captian snuck a post in like a boss.

    So Gold is Slow
cBass is confukulated and Mack is on Fire.

Gold should have just edited his posts, but alas...he is slow

    So back to business
I washed her on Sat as we saw the sun for the first time in days. I fack I wshed her twice.
Had some trouble getting the masking tape of the roof I left on that was used for when they replaced the windscreen a couple of weeks back.
Then it was off to the Dyno Day - JAP Challange 2.
Guys had a freshly installed 4x4 setup running
When I say it's fresh, it's as fresh as a morning sea breeze, so fresh it was installed 3 days prior to the event.
Did not get a good reading on it, think it needs to get worked in.
65Kw is like 10 below stock/factory specs. and that with some octane boost added WTH!!?
The weather was also not well, it came bucketing down at about 5 with some almost hurricane(*) winds.
by 7 it was clearskies again. pfft!
Was a great event - go see on FB, Team Toyo JAP Challange

    uhm...
not sure about that one James
you can't say being lazy is like a boss,
but you can be clever and make other people do what you do not want to - this does not mean you will not do something else or makes you lazy
Being a dumbass you will not get anything done if you are lazy.
In both cases you will still get it done if you were just slow and not lazy

I hear what you are saying, but there's nothing more boss-like than looking at a task or whatever, and thinking to yourself, "I could do this, but I don't want to." And then you never think about it again. :fyeah:

    So.

Having another look at getting some fogs done for the cab.
This is inspired by this mornings weather where we heavy mist and rain conditions. needless to say a lot of people did not make to work on time as all the roads were clogged either by just slow moving traffic or all the multiple accidents we had across the area.

Now I know yellow is the stock color, but what does the effect of HID have on it?

Maybe some input and suggestions I might would like to look at or know about that you guys can offer would be Awesome

HIDs will just be much brighter, and if the housings are designed for regular bulbs, the extra HID output will result in significant glare. If you want to do HIDs properly, you will need to stuff projectors into your housings. I personally don't care and will take the extra HID output every time, projector or not.

So what you are saying is that I should go with HID's?
but then would that not be like shining a light into a mirror when used in dense fog?
I know it has to do with the frequency of each color and that yellow/amber penetrate the best. The more white the light the more it deflects.
Will using an HID and covering it with Laminix work?

Regardless of the type of emitter, pure yellow light will have the same major frequency components all around (but usually given in wavelength due to ridiculously high frequencies).

3000K HID will give you the yellow color that you want, and Laminix would be a good idea, since it will only let the yellow through, leaving the whiter components of that lights output inside the housing.

And yellow is 600 nm in wavelength.

    Thank James
The major problem now would be to install them and make it look neat as I have to cut away holes to fit them and make attachments of some kind to affix it securely.
Choosing a unit could be quick or rather difficult though

interesting fact on the nm

Gold would be the HID aficionado here.

But, the only thing you should need to secure is the ballast. My stock fogs are H3s, and you can get H3 bulbs, so they fit the housing just like a regular one. Check it, they even have 3000K: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=4125

I'm guessing you don't have fogs on your bumper?

Buy a cheapo set of fog lights, install them in the lower grille of the car, and get 3000k HIDs, for fog use only.

As mentioned above, I have to cut holes to fit them. this means in the actual bumper I need to make holes and the rest as above.

In some way I think we did discuss this part before Mack
I would like to make it look stylish and not just slap-dash, also, buying cheap is buying expensive as you need to replace more than likely more than once.
