Figured I'd try a real thread. Been working on this project for 3 months now. Picked her up March 5th. Been working on and off. It wasn't running. In fact, the engine was in pieces.

    New heart for the MR2. 1999 1mz-fe v6

New tranny for her too. Modified 2001 Camry S51 for Rwd configuration.

Totally cleaned and Clear coated the engine bay.

Fidanza Flywheel with OEM clutch setup.

    Awaiting the heart transplant.

Modified the stock MR2 fuel pump with the Camry intank Fuel pressure regulator. Now a returnless fuel setup.

Getting ready to lift her in.

AND NOW... A couple of awesome shots of the engine in the car with most the components connected.

Yup. I'm still waiting for a few things on the engine in order to crank her over.

Today I started working on the suspension. New struts and New TRD lowering springs.

Hmm. It's possible that I could get it started for a short moment. I'm thinking about getting a new radiator so the cooling system won't be ready for long period start.

Yeah I probably will sell the Silver Corolla. That way I can recuperate some of the money I've spent on this project. This is going to be my new Daily driver.

I called dibs on that TRD muffler way before you knew the corolla might even be parted out. :D but seriously. That MR2 needs new rims once you get the mechanicals sorted out. Followed by letting me drive it.

After the suspension is installed. The next awesome upgrade/install is a COMPLETE brand new 93+ Turbo brake setup. These things are massive and made to compete with porsches etc.

Fronts are 10.9" vs stock 10.1" and Rears are 11" vs Stock 10.3. But diameter isn't where it's the best upgrade. These things are THICK! Super wide to absorb more heat.

    -Instant torque
    -Better fuel economy (Surprisingly)
    -More reliable
-Finding a low mileage, reliable and non abused engine was much easier.
    -Cheaper to buy
    -Sexy v6 sound

I thought you need 3 threads to get a section? Or is that for makes, not models.

I Honestly don't think there are enough legit threads to make a sub forum for each model. I'd just combine them for now as "Member Build Threads"

Well my dream is that we'll have lots of legit threads in each section. So all the work I've done here thus far has been towards that goal.
