Sorry if this has been done on here and sorry for starting my posts with a question but that how i found the site.

I have a 1ZZ-FE in the UK in a lotus elise S. looked at a few options over here for turbo etc but all look expensive and untried. I see TRD make a factory covered supercharger for the 1ZZ but it does not show the lotus.

I cant see why it wont fit, maybe missing something simple so please shout at me if thats the case.

    I can get ecu reflashed.

    Can fit it myself.

    Can sort shipping from USA.

    So questions are:
    Can i buy one?
If so any ideas where from as TRD website dont seam to sell anything?

    Thanks

I don't see why it won't fit - but there is likely a reason why there isn't a fitment for the Lotus variants. Turbocharging and tuning will be expensive, but that doesn't mean that it will be significantly less for the TRD supercharger.

The biggest issue you'll run into is availability - as these superchargers are no longer in production. Most people that are trying to buy them are looking at clean, used superchargers. Along with that limited availability and demand for them, many used ones are selling close to their original price!

Another option is to buy the supercharger itself - TRD one was based on the Magnuson Model MP45 supercharger and fabricate the appropriate intake side of it. This way you get a new supercharger, but due to the added cost of the fabrication - likely to run as much as the turbo project.

If you are looking for a supercharger kit made specifically to the 1ZZ-FE Elise S - you are likely looking at the KOMO-TEC supercharger. Around 0.40 bar (~6PSI) boost, air-to-water intercooler, all connections, hoses, etc. Adds about 80 HP to the existing engine. But the kit is very costly - EUR 8990, ~ GBP 7920, or ~ USD 12,600!

if you already have an un-supercharged 1zz-fe lotus.....sell it and buy a better car. :p

to answer your question. Yes it will fit, if you have the money for it. The money you will spend will easily be more than its worth....like he said above me...12k USD at least.

^^^ Good point. With the amount of money they are charging for a kit, you could do a swap to another engine w/forced induction. Though that takes the "drop-in" and go aspect out of the picture. Sounds like the OP just wanted a less complicated way to more power.

Spray isn't really viable for extended track usage. Unless we're talking about drag strips.
