    Not necessarily..... a good spring&shock combo has the potential for performing as well as coilovers. They're the same thing in the end... a shock and a spring. Just that coilovers are 1 adjustable (height, camber, dampening etc) and 2 they are perfectly paired (ie the shock and spring are built to work together). If you can find a spring&shock combo that works perfectly together, AND has the perfect stats you want, then go for it. Though they will never have the advantage of being adjustable.

    As long as the spring gives you the best height (whether you're going for looks or performance), you can get the adjustability from the struts, as with the Koni yellows. So yeah you may not be able to adjust for height if you have a typical spring/strut combo by everything else is quite comparable.

    This is true.

    TRD Springs + Tokico Struts = VERY near stock ride height, very uncomfortable and bouncy. It will be like the worst of both worlds.
