It's a direct swap on the 7th gen, not the 8th lol.

Haha, ironically enough, the 8th Gen AE111 Corolla GT's had the 4A-GE 20v Blacktop from factory, which share the same chassis as the USDM 8th Gens, so aside from the engine mounts I can't see the conversion being very difficult :)

I installed the trumpets today. Sounds absolutely amazing. Like music to my ears. I knew they were going to be loud, but not THAT loud, not that I'm complaining :)

Rigged up my old cold air intake piping to it in an attempt to route force-fed cold air to the trumpets from the pipe positioned behind the front bumper. Will probably keep it there as it can't do any harm, but will change the blue silicone joiner to a black one so it doesn't look so out of place.

Didn't have a chance to do any drive-by videos today, but took a couple of videos of me revving it, which I have compiled into this YouTube video:

And of course, a few photos for good measure:

I knew you'd love them!!! Sounds great. Maybe get another sound clip from a little bit farther away and the hood closed? Sounds very clean.

Is there a way for you to modify the original black casing to hide all that exposed stuff and have the trumpets stick out?

    Thanks! :D

Cheers man. Hopefully you get the chance to hear it through some amplified speakers soon

Thanks Chris. Yeah I'll see if I can get some more sound clips with the hood closed. It was really sunny outside today so I had to find a shady spot to take the video so my options were rather restricted, but I'm looking forward to taking a video of me actually driving with them :D
I actually had the first half of the plenum case still attached when I installed them this morning, but then I took them off again, removed that piece and bolted the trumpets straight to the ITB's. That way the length remained 110mm and you could see more of the trumpets. Even from factory with the original black plenum casing on the ITB's were still visible :)
I've got one of these splash shields on the way from the US right now

In-car video of me enjoying the newly fitted trumpets. Just under 8-minutes of pure acceleration:

See now THAT's the video I wanted to hear! Sounds amaaaaaaazing. That sound will never get old!!

So I hear it hitting the rev limiter, I would have thought that 8,000+ RPM would have sounded differently, but whatever I'm jelly.

Haha thanks Chris. Yeah I hit the limiter a few times. Sounds a lot crazier in real-life, lol. Had the windows almost right up as I didn't want to risk getting any wind noise. Will have to mount the camera to the hood sometime :)

I thought you did have the windows down, I heard a lot of wind noise. But I guess it would have been worse!

I really loved the sound of the shifting.... better than sex.
