    Easy way to test if you need to. Do you have power windows? If so, at night time, with the car running and your headlights on, roll up your windows, then hold the switches up, basically continuing to try to roll them up more. Do all 4 at the same time. If your headlights and dash go dim a little, yes you need to upgrade those three wires.

    Why do you want such a big sound system anyways? I never really got the whole crazy bass in trunk thing. I'm more than content with premium sound oem speakers.

    I want a sub but not to blast it. It'll just sound better at a reasonable level than the OEM speakers. CBass was impressed my mine though, he insisted my shit wasn't stock haha

    The subwoofer puts out lower frequencies than the speakers can, so I like it for that. As a whole, the system doesn't get very loud.

    Well today I installed my Christmas Present and I noticed a great difference in sound compared to the old OEM Headunit heres a pic :)

    Now I just have to buy new speakers, I'm leaning towards the JL Audio's on crutchfield any suggestions?

    For speakers, I bought them at Walmart. I just got a few different ones and tried each one out to see which had the best sound.

    I could end up buying some, The headunit make the OEM Speakers sound great! The only ones they have are cheap they cost like 50 bucks might as well give em a go

    That's not because of the speakers. The stock speakers can handle the power from the headunit just fine. If you want it louder without distortion, you'll need an amp on all the speakers, then speakers to handle the extra power.

    Yeah but, I think I'd get better sound quality from a good set of speakers, these have lots of treble and hardly any bass. :p

    Have you tried adjusting the head unit for more bass? But yeah, that's why you have to try out different speakers, because they all sound different.

    I mean they sound good, but when you want bass they start to distort, I have no problem replacing the rear speakers, but I have to admit, I am a little intimidated to do the front speakers :(

    Corolla front speakers are a pita because rivets hold them in so they need to be drilled in.
