Adjust the kick-down cable to raise pressure in the valve body.

that allows for better shifts period. this has to be the laziest automatic i've owned. Only had 2 and oddly enough they're both the same. Lexus has never been to the track. you know fear of headgaskets blowing anyday makes you drive carefully. but i got parts today. gonna start rebuilding friday or saturday.

Blame the forum. If you want to edit a post after 10-15 minutes it gets tacked on to the old post... I always found that strange.

They're known to burn out in the older Lexus models. By 97-98 Lexus had introduced new technology and the problem never happened again.

Yeah I know the forums still have problems... If you do a double post from an iPhone within 15 minutes, it just gets rid of the first one entirely.

Getting back on topic here, I went to the track last friday to see how that new intake pipe faired in the car. and the results speak for themselves. picked up almost a second.

I know. I can't beat a WS6 firebird straight up anyway. And it was open test and tune night. Who wins/looses doesn't matter.
I posted this on the Camry forums that i follow, they're quite intrigued. I've raced my friends with the basically the same motor (w/o VVT), same transmission and one had more work then me = both lost. I kinda hate to admit this but VVT-i is pretty good.

Yea, it really is a quick time considering what you have done to the car. I plan to take the corolla back to the track when they open next season to see how it does now. Do you have any more plans for it performance wise?
