    Coilovers removed, original pre-facelift tail lights reinstalled. Changed my mind :p

    Here's a photo I took yesterday:

    I had nothing but trouble with the coilovers so I'm ripping them out and reverting back to my old set-up this week. Front right pillowball mount was noisy, the rears rattled and the spring rate was way too soft so it was too bouncy for my liking (no dampening adjustment on that model). Will no doubt go back to coilovers in the future, but if I do they'll be brand new and have at least 5-way dampening adjust-ability, and they'll be the fully threaded type as opposed to the partially threaded type.

    As for the tail lights, I prefer the pre-facelift orange/red type because it makes the whole rear-end 'flow' better. The facelift red/clear tail lights make the car look more modern, but I wasn't digging them enough to keep them. Although the main reason for selling is because I need the money. Gotta get a replacement front windscreen due to a damn rock cracking it while driving :(

    Well the lights I understand but the coilovers that sounds like a pain.

    booooooooo but the pic looks good lol.

    Yeah man, you really should use new suspension parts, not old used stuff. Get custom coilovers built to your specifications!!

    Haven't been able to access these forums for months! Not sure if it was just me or if everyone was having the same problem, but it's good to be back. I've done a few things since my last update :)

    Changes:

    * Did a 4A-GE 20v Blacktop conversion (finally!)
    * Installed AE111 Carib OEM sideskirts
    * Installed OEM rare factory option 'conlight'.
    * Installed OEM rare factory option A-pillar map light.
    * Installed 240kph speedometer.

    LOL facepalm. Didn't know that (obviously). Either way those are nice! What are you revving up to now? Surely a lot higher than the ~6K the 1ZZ does.

    Haha no worries. The quad throttle bodies have trumpets from factory inside the black plenum chamber but they're made of rubber and curve around towards the intake hose. They work well for a factory set-up, but have to be made quite small and weirdly shaped to be able to find inside the plenum, so these aftermarket ones will allow me to do away with the plenum altogether and enjoy the symphony of the trumpets at full throttle :D

    It revs to 8,250rpm before valve bouncing. I love seeing the needle go slightly past the 8 on my factory cluster :cool:

    I took this shot on my phone just over a week ago. Goes past the 8 but valve bounced back to the 8 as I was trying to awkwardly take the photo :joyful:

    I think I remember that on Facebook. Sweet! I was wondering why the intake looked so strange lol. I didn't know there were ITBs hiding in there.
