im on ksports, and as for pre-load i didnt mess with any of that to get it that low lol, the rears are almost maxed i have about an an inch or 2 left for a drop but for the fronts to get it that low i messed with suspension travel on the actual strut, since there wasnt any much play when it came to the fronts, i know its bad but i didnt do it to a horrendous amount though lol.

hmm thats strange, I have k sports and i messed with the pre load quite a bit. at the moment all of the struts drooped a bit. not too bad but im getting new suspension at some point anyways. Do you have problems with the bottom of the strut almost hitting the cv axels or the bottom spindle on the rear on your car?

I heard that's not worth it. Not really necessary unless you're building a race purpose car.

Uh... don't think they're made to be like that
No preload means you're probably going to bottom out more, and ruin the life of the shocks.

Its done to ensure proper seating of spring , reliability within the whole setup , and a smooth quiet ride if left loose they bind clank and just feel Hori bble overall

Dont you think i know that?lol of course its going to affect the life of the shock, but sometime you gotta make sacrifices to be low. I did my research on the springs i got. By testing different rates I felt ride quality and ride support. for that reason i chose 12k 7 inch tall springs, basically, its damn near impossible to bottom out. i have about an inch of strut sag which is slightly out of acceptable range but still that's what i had to do. im in search of a setup that i can slam my car with without damaging the struts.

I can recommend you a place that does custom springs for coilovers. But at 12k they mentioned to me that it makes you sit 20mm higher than stock spring rate because of the stiffness. Which is when you move on to a shorter shock body
