    I had to tape this one up since its in 2 pieces ATM...another spoiler that i made was already one piece and that was given to my uncle to primer, cant find my pressure regulator.

    Anyways what i notice from this to the real one is that the top part where it sit on the top trunk it lifts after a good while because of a groove that the spoilers have to stop water from running down into the double sides tape?

    Irvin showed me his real one and it had lifted over time, apparently the 3M double sided tape that you buy from an auto parts store does not work well due to it being thinner than the original tape used, my rear valances and side skirts have the original factory tape and its at least 40-50% thicker than the 3m tape, i will take pictures

    ...does anyone know if you can buy the double sided tape used for our TRD parts straight from toyota or something? dont the new corolla s still use this tape?

    yea i the ninth gens and up use it on the s models to attach the lip kits. i guess the prob would be working it into the shape of the deck lid

    Wait que? I had to make a mold for the under side and the top side, its a 2 piece mold...i had to do it this way to get a perfect guide line from the original spoiler sitting from the trunk to avoid fitement problems, thats why i said its a 2piece lip...

    lol thats the stuff used to attached the side molding to the doors of the 8th gens, i wonder if sanding a lil off the edges would allow the 3m tape to get a good seal

    I just say used for all applications, side moldings, lips, valances, seal etc....im wondering if doubling the 3m tape will work just like the oem one...anyways here is a good picture of what im talking about...

    apparantly everyone said that the 3m tape work for years yet im starting to wonder how...thinking about sanding down the edges and see how that turns out, good idea man

    I've never had a problem with the 3M tape being too thick, I've put it on the spoiler twice, 2 sets of side skirts, the rear valences once, the front valences twice along with a front lip, all with zero separating issues.

    you COULD try doubling up, didnt really think of that, as long as the tape adheres to the other peace well i dont see a prob

    I was also going to suggest doubling up if needed. Or just buy the right tape from that link. I just got some #M tape today in fact :)

    yeah #M tape works great..... well until I try to take off my side skirts and it's a pain in the butt cause the 3M tape is hard to get off.

    My trunk lip spoiler is #M'd on, I don't think ill ever get it off... i tried when I put it on a LITTLE crooked and couldent. :(:mad:

    And also the window visors use #M tape.... fortunately I didn't push it on too hard while installing, until they were all lined up perfectly. There are also clips, but I said f it cause that #M tape ain't going nowhere.
