says the guy that wants what i have :p and wtf im gone for like 30min and all this cue crap swamped all over broken bumper guys thread?
    Added: Oct 6, 2012 5:52 AM
yes same with bondo. if your doing it at night i suggest add more hardner and i would keep the garage door open for the air to circulate cuz your gonna die from all the fumes.

if i lay down fiberglass on the spoiler molds right now it will be dry by the morning but i have to add the double of hardner and have some sort of fan blowing on it but that creates air pockets, warp, cracks etc

    broken bumper guy LMAO.

Yeah I keep the 3 doors & window open, and I've got a large box fan in the window for circulation.

the popular choice is the 01-02 ones. if your going to do the 01-02 front end conversion id highly recommend it. I prefer oval tho cuz im planning on keeping my 98-00 front end so im keeping mine a legit 8.0 gen

basically it comes down to what u want.

You guys forgot that there is some modding you have to do and the adapter alone cost 300 plus 200 for mani and give or take 100 on supplies you need to put it all together. Your going to need new gaskets and hoses you got to buy. And if your dbw thats even more stuff you need to do cause you got to extend the wire harness for the dbw so mani noob don't think so I did my homework. I had both an 8th gen and 9th gen and wanted to do this so ur the mani noob.

no we didnt forget nothing, we know its needs that "expensive" plate, its the same situation with my cavalier, i need to buy an adapter plate to install it...I guess you confused me by pricing the whole conversion at $600 while i thought you meant the mani itself was $600....if you know ppl you can get that plate done for alot cheaper...and fyi i called gold the noob because he buys $600 sri

Oh ok and yea that's the whole swap its going to cost you more money to make a plate cause its the first one so theres more work to do so the guy that's making it will charge you more for first one and then after that it will be cheaper. Trust me I been through it all. What he can do is cut his mani flange and the 2zz one and weld the 1zz flange on the 2zz mani one I seen some one do it but don't know if its stright forward or you have to do some stuff to get it to work

Actually you don't have to cut the flange. You can modify the 2zz flange to fit. Also none of the 8th gens are dbw so thats not something you have to worry about as long as you get the dbc throttle body. But as 305 said, its a waste unless you're boosted, spraying or built n/a.

Careful new guy hahah. I know you know gold from another forum, but we don't respond well to new guys who defend themselves a little too strong. Travis Reynolds anyone? And hey broken bumper guy I'd go for the round ones but it's all a personal preference.

Lol you guys are crazy but the 2000 and up came dbw cause my 2000 had it. Also I might be new here but not to the Toyota scene since 2002 so I seen and heard a few things about Toyota motors. Not trying to sound a know it all or a ass just giving the info I came across to help people out and not waste time or money cause I know how it feels to do so
