    LOL, that was Toyota's idea...

but yeah, something like that. Many cars, especially these days, have some thin red reflectors in the diffuser area. I think if I did that, it would replace the vertical fin elements with horizontal elements, which are more natural on the bumper.

Yeah, you're probably right. I did a bunch of photoshops late into the night and think I'm just gonna get rid of this before I ruin it. Besides, I don't think the reflector thing would work, because the IS300 has the trunk lights. Too many red lights on the back.

So, you think it looks better with fins than without fins, all other things being equal?

The only way I can think of making the bumper better is the shorten the fins a little but not completely flattening them, then wrap that area with a dark carbon fiber

Here's another shot..... this is the only angle I actually liked enough to take a pic, the rest of the angles (cause of the rear bumper) are just hideous lol, even from more frontal angles, it's just bad.

When i saw the video that you put up, some had some nice looking white rims....like the red with white rims at the begining

but ehhh you do what you want...if i had that car i would paint them white and the red center cap is stupid

Oh yeah, white would probably look good. But if anything, I'm going to have darker rims. But I don't paint rims, I buy them. I do need to buy rims again, since these have the wrong offsets. But, I'm waiting to see how it looks with my custom sides and rear lip, I'm thinking I'll raise it up a little and go with 18" rims.

I like the fins and the new rear in general. This is a good save, Gold. It matches the side skirt well and isn't that flashy. I think this kind of rear end looks better with an oval can muffler and tip extending through the bumper though. Exhaust noise due for a change yet?

Wheels also match the car right now and offsets look sick. However, I can see a set of staggered, lippy, TE-37 in glossy white by Volk/Rays on there as well. It will really bring out your Indigo Ink Pearl!

Thanks James. I was actually considering those wheels. But you are right, I did screw up when buying the wheels. I will definitely go staggered and deeper lips next time.

But I've already got a can muffler on it coming through the bumper. And how is it not flashy?

I'm already going to go for this look.
