Yeah they should be. You could also get the plastic intake manifold and throttle body off the 9th gen.

Yeah do a DIY. Would this be pointless on a non-vvti car though? Or is that only if you want the Celica ECU to get the higher redline?

Didn't bdub already do a DIY for this? No it's definitely not pointless on a non vvti car. You will feel the power gain from 4k to redline. As far as the celica ecu goes for non vvti, crolla56 and I are probably going to figure it out. He's the one who gave me all the diagrams so I could swap the celica ecu into mine.

No luck at the pick n pulls, seems like they don't ever have anything newer than late 90's. Anyway, I'm looking online now. I found this guy
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-CORO...Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr#ht_1975wt_956

It looks like all of the plastic manifolds are the same and will fit, but it seems that the throttle bodies changed in 2005?http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-THRO...Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr#ht_1946wt_956

so i guess ill look for a pre 2005 setup

Soooo i got an intake and throttle body from an 04 corolla, and a TRD cold air intake. Now i just need everything to put it together, so I'm going to pick up a throttle body gasket, and manifold gasket.

One thing i have noticed though it that the manifold i bought only has 2 bolts coming out of the inlet to attach the throttle body. ? And every picture i see online of the manifold for sale only has 2 bolts. I don't get it?

No way, ya i missed it. I picked up an IM/TB from one of the recycle road shops for $160. Not bad i guess, they had an 8.5 gen S a few days ago. Both skirts, fog lights, and rear wing were still on it. Steering wheel too.

yea pick-n-pull in norcal have a ton of 8th gen (98-00) but when a 8.5 comes in, its gone in a week....that 9th gen was rapped to the last bolt on my second visit. Its so bad that when i was pulling off the valances some guy asked if i was going to get the engine...he bought it the same day it was placed in the yard

ebay has them for around $100, just the IM...

the steering wheel i got, its just the air bag that i need to get, its very expensive...did that steering wheel have the air bag? ifso send me a message to the location, i live near sac.

k so on the old manifold there is the pcv hose, a hose leading into intake near the entrance, and another hose coming off the back of the plenum.
On the new manifold there is the pcv, another hose coming into the entrance of the intake like the old manifold and another hose coming out of the back, except this one also is near the entrance of the intake.
