Picked up this burgundy Medium Red Pearl Supra turbo in '09.

Hard to tell, but this is at stock height!

There was a shitload wrong with this car, and I have fixed almost everything. The car came with stock sawblade wheels, stock/home made rattly exhaust, tons of vacuum/boost leaks, blown stock suspension, and other undesirables. The car burns oil when cold at a very slow rate, but it annoyed me so I took it to a shop for a rebuild. They disassembled the car to the point where the engine was ready to come out, and then went out of business. I had to tow it 100 miles home and rebuild everything myself, recently completing the project. I haven't fixed the minor oil problem yet, but will continue my build since compression is solid. Since that fiasco I have decided to make my car 100% my own work.

This makes me so jealous, if i was gonna have any old school car to build I would choose that year supra or older audi.

Keep doing what your doing, looks good so far. Work on the power base and body then work on making it look better(even though it aleady looks so sexy)

In the future I'd like to do something like this...nice build so far. I'd like to try out a 300zx.
Do you have any of the old pics from when you first got it?

Nice James, looks like a good project, but well worth it. Any exterior or interior plans?

Not true, you can get them with a W58 5 speed manual. It also has a sweet Lexus shifter surround for manuals too!

Interior plans are to get it back to good quality stock. I just put LEDs in the interior, before and after pics soon. Exterior plans are to convert it to sweet pre 89 trim, repair my stock front lip, and get a (stock) paintjob. Otherwise, like the rest of my cars, the exterior will remain very close to stock.

I will try to dig up a few.

    Thanks for the commentsz

Also forgot to mention triple gauge pod with wideband, fuel pressure, oil temp. Retrofitting stock water temp and oil pressure gauges as well.

    Update:

    1st gear doesn't work.
Leak from front of the engine.
    So I parked this bitch!

    Steps:
    1. Drain tranny fluid and hope it's super underfilled, then re-fill; otherwise replace R-154.
    2. Remove Rad, Belt, Fan, Upper timing Cover to replace Valve cover.
    3. Replace power steering hoses.
    4. Remove Crank Pulley to inspect block for leaks; replace seals as needed
    5. Test for leaks
    6. Install full flow oil cooler circuit (thermostatically controlled)
    7. Tune EBC to right under boost cut

Then drive it for a while before doing the to:do above!

I don't remember which ones they were, and also I'm too lazy.

I'll get on this after I finish reviewing threads from 2009 and liking legit posts.

    Should be quick, lol
