Those are for the bixenon solenoid to trigger the built-in high beam.

Good luck! Denso ballasts are the best... I have 4 of them lol.

Hey gold, what affects the color more in HID's the ballast or bulbs? Can a crappy ballast produce blue light instead of white?

    Nooooooooo!!!!
    lol
One set is on the Lexus... and the other pair is brand new in my garage.
It's the bulb... the ballast has little to do with the color. It just gives power to the bulb, but the mixture of salts in the bulb is what causes the color. I'm assuming you have a problem with yours? Try swapping the bulbs and see what happens.

Reason im asking is because when my fog light ballast went out i got a slim ballast and the color on one side was yellow and the other was green when i switched out the slim ballast back to the one i bought in the hid kit it matched the other bulb.

Yeah I have no clue then... unless it is something with the bulbs being overly sensitive to the ballast.

Yeah, one of mine is green at first, but then then are both golden yellow. I'll probably ditch them and build some yellow LED fog DRLs.
