I think I'm gonna take off the bumpstrip things on my doors... I don't care if I scratch or ding the car, that's easily fixable with my crappy 30 dollar paint job. It looked a lot cleaner on hummers car.

Yeah I took mine off and filled them in so that they were smooth. Those only prevented other people (with the same car) from dinging yours anyway, so useless IMO.

That's not "only" what they were for, you know when you go to a gas station and those big poles that are right at the ends of the pumps? Some retards hit those if they are dumb.Probably the same kind of people that lift the hose thinking they are gonna get more gas out of it after they close the nozzle. But also they work if anyone hits your car with their door, it doesn't have to be at the same level. Those strips are on the part of the door that sticks out the most, so most things will hit that first, no matter what.

Ah, so you mean opening your door into a pole. Yeah... retards LOL.

But if the other door is shaped differently, or higher, it won't hit your car on the strip, especially with our lowered cars..... in other words, take those useless things off!

You just gonna leave the cavity, or fill it in?

Under the 8th gen ones I believe it's totally smooth. There is a little indent that runs along the top (or maybe bottom) of the strip, which I will leave I think. Where's hummer he took his off, is it smooth underneath those?

I would rather not have scratches on my door and chance the possibility of whether the car is a little higher, lower or right on the bump stopper.

For me it takes 3 seconds to push the button on a can of spray paint and fix any scratches. I carry a can in my car for that purpose lol

Have you ever stopped to think how stupid it would look to see someone spray painting their car in the parking lot after they accidentley brushed it with their back pack and needed to do some "touch up?" LOL.

If I ever had to touch it up, I wouldn't do it right there in the parking lot lol. I just carry it in the car so I don't have to search at home for it.I'd wait until I got back home. And gold it seems to be durable, I haven't had any issues yet.
