no, the tach was just a gauge that sits on my dash, i havent found a way to connect it to the dash without drilling holes in so i took it off for now.

I tried some blue lights for my gauges. They turned out to be a nastier shade of green than the original. All depends on which bulbs you get, though. I have some red ones in right now. They look orange, but I really like them.

i have 2 different shades of blue because the store only had one pair and i went to another place to get blue ones, as u can see the middle color is darker blue so im gonna go with that one.

It's true that it would look nice if it were all one shade of blue, but it will start to get annoying on the eyes since it's not bright enough. I've been through all sorts of colors, even indiglo gauges. I eventually settled on amber orange back lighting similar to BMW's(just a tad brighter orange though.). However, even that is starting to get a discomforting. I'm going to switch to even brighter LED white bulbs.

The dash lights on my 88 Corolla are virtually gone you can barely see the dash so I too am trying to change mine...where can you get the bulbs necessary for that? Also a DIY post would be awesome...I don't want to mess it up...thanks

They look nice...you are right I can tell the difference in the middle but you it doesn't look bad...very nice...you should post a DIY

I can certainly post a DIY if no one else wants to. I have a 2001 Corolla, but swapping out gauge lights is usually a similar process on other cars. Bulb is #194 I believe, and it can be bought at most auto part stores.

Thank you, I might go with some red ones even though they might turn out to look orange. This should be interesting

Pardon the thread-jack, but I've had some blue LED #194 bulbs in my cluster for about 2 years now, and one of them is starting to flicker on and off on one side (right side of speedo and fuel gauge). Any suggestions for a good site besides V-LED to buy from? Not looking to spend a fortune, but I do want to replace the LEDs soon.

You're gonna have to search newer than this... I already went through all these threads LOL.

OP, I think you'd have much better luck with blue LEDs.... or at least MATCHING bulbs. That blue/green looks like what XeroedEffects did with his green/orange cluster combination:

Yes, I know you're the OP, noob.

Now, he hasn't posted much over there at all. I think we scared him off the whole internets. He said that he was afraid to come back here, for fear of getting trolled up and down. Which is very true. But then TN wasn't any better for him, so now he's got nothing :(
