Yeah, non vented carbon fiber would be better.

Well that's funny, cause I agree with you if it was a Corolla. I couldn't bring myself to put scoops on the Corolla, OEM style all the way. But the IS can pull it off better. I like the vents better than scoops. And the vents provide cooling, you can see the heat rising out when not moving.

Yeah that wouldn't work roach lol. I'm gonna say leave the hood, but then again I have a vented carbon hood on my car lol. I would say get it color matched IF you were to do anything. But I say leave it.

I'm definitely gonna leave it. On the Corolla, I could have gotten that "invader" style hood like Mack, but I didn't like how it stuck up off the hood. Now, on my hood, the vents are all recessed, so you can't see them from a low side angle. I tried to keep it clean.

I didn't like it at first but I do now, and it's functional. Plus I have room for a supercharger.

It justs seems too much to me for a hood. vents, holes and dips. a color matched hood would be better though imo.

Yeah, I'd have liked smaller vents, but oh well lol. It does serve it's function of cooling and weight reduction.

I think I saved like 13 pounds with mine. Damn so that must be a heavy lip kit. I figured they were a couple pounds a piece.

    I do now. :D

The hood is easily less than half the weight as you know. But the lip kit is polyurethane, which is heavier than fiberglass. I might do the carbon-fiber lip kit (painted) eventually.

well, i finally found a trd strut that is on its way, trd radiator cap....dont laugh...trd oil filter and if this guy wants to sell me the supercharger then that!

anyways the guy told me this about the supercharger...

No computer just the blower itself. It is better to get a emanage anyway, bar none, I was held back by the TRD but it made it run. (shrugs) Anyway, down to hook it up. LMK if you want it and ill hook it up with a dammed good price so you can start your boost package for your car :)
Oh and for your corolla it wouldnt work anyway, but it will bolt onto your engine though because you are a 1zz

You dont pay 1000 dollars for 5 hp more... lol read the forum buy the one guy, i think back in the day when i originally read it you had to make alot of room and move stuff around other than the hood. Plus mounting points i think.
