So yea I'm bored here in web design class, I'm pretty much done with my work and i need to kill 2 hours so i will start my own thread of the progress of my corolla, i still got a but load of things to do. So the story of the corolla starts like this...
    Untitled.png
I think around late 2002 my dad bought this corolla new from the dealers ship that still sits in Stockton, I don't know that much detail since I was only 9 I believe.

He used it for work, from Stockton to the bay every weekday, at least putting in 100miles a day, car reached 100k and my sister turned 17 and got this car, then my dad bought a 2.4 cavalier 2002.My sister put in 20k and hit a pole on a parking lot while trying to park and the whole passenger side was messed up.

The car was siting in the drive way and I just wanted to drive so I drove around the age of 15 like I had my license nothing had happen to me for over a year.

After coming back from my girlfriends house around 3am i was doing about 100mph on i205, no one on my left or right nor oncoming traffic. Next thing you know i see a car coming very fast and then BAM red lights....I felt like shit, I told him the truth and he said he wont tow the car but I had to call both my parents and have them take the car at 3am...my dad just told me I'm young and I will not be young forever and my mom just yelled at me like the normal Hispanic mother she is. I turned 17 1/2 and I got my license!

A month later as I was involved in an accident, some drunk guy was driving his big pick up truck, suspended license and taking his kids to school and when he is exiting the freeway he does the turn too short and crashes me. My windshield broke, hood was like a spoon, bumper was cracked and broken, passenger side lights all messed up and radiator and fan bent but working. Car was considered totaled but when me and my dad went to go see it at the towing yard the engine still turned on and the car was drivable, insurance payed my dad for the car and the car was given back to us.

Me and my uncle took over fixing it and this car has been through many stages. [IMG]

The day we took it out of the towing yard we replaced the windshield, hood and lights.

My uncle gave me this body kit on my birthday

I was suppose to paint it some blue and get some trd rims but now im leaning to get some white rims to go with the blue paint....its been pretty cold here in stockton, 3 days straight 28. So i cant paint it inside my garage and i was thinking about maaco but know all these guys are saying they are crap.

and when i get the money from the accident, hopefully by the end of december i will buy a cheap corolla S manual to swap the interior and transmission since the last guy in SOCAL decided not to sell me the stuff.

2 accidents and still rolling, i just cant get rid of this car, ive been through so many good times with it...increase horsepower to our engines? idk about that man, you wont find bolt on parts to increase power...best your can do is prob change your air filter and port your exhaust manifold...im still thinking about installing a celica IM/TB

    Donut ring/exhaust manifold gasket
    Spark Plugs
    Air filter
    Oil change
    Seafoam
    Clean MAF

my MGP was around 28 and now its at least 36

@Mack ya i think i remember seeing them on your thread, looking back at some old pages...i want some rims like the ones gold had on his corolla but white

my 99 doesnt have the maf sensor it has the map. spark plugs ,wires and oil were changed by me. the 99 corolla has the map sensor not the maf. so i guess i gotta do the Donut ring/exhaust manifold gasket and clean my engine. you know what brand you want for white rims? im in ny and my boy is close with these guys INTRACK Tires heres a link http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.117807361657084.16879.100002834635903&type=1

same here.... I'd always be running it over on the highway. You wonder why I ditched my 02 front end and splurged on the Impreza bumper... cause of that dang failmesh.

You said it was because of the failip. lol. Dont blame the 02 bumper for your decisions. just because there are holes in the bumper dosent mean you have to cover them with mesh.

haha, the fail lip, the fail mesh, the fail gaps... lots of fail there. But the mesh was for the upper grille after I cut out the slats. It needed something!

gold, i was looking at your car over at the cardomain, i gotta say i liked what you did with the 01-02 bumper....but also i would never use chicken wire, body kit came with it and i took it off the next day after i installed it...

That's an interesting way to put fogs in there! Nice.

Well I was in a pickle when I did the 02 bumper. The grille area wasn't tall enough to reach the hood, and the bumper/grille stuck out too far so it didn't match the hood that way either. So, I had to remove the top bar of the grille (like is on your body kit) and that looked dumb so I had to remove all the slats to clean it up. But then everything was exposed there. So I used what I could find at the time.
