She's a beauty. Extremely clean, nice wheels. Love what you've done to the car.

You know I'm a sucker for blue lol :p But the gunmetal gray is my favorite non-blue color ever.

I'm thinking of replacing the rear wheels with wider ones with a low offset so I can take off the spacers.

I just don't like the blue lights you have in the headlights, but it looks good overall for sure. You don't have pics going in order of how you did the mods? Your sig always changes, but every once in a while, when the IS shows up it looks different every time lol. I don't remember the CF hood in your sig before.

If you look in his Cardomain he kinda does it's just backwards.

Do I have a cardomain. LOL. I've had cardomains since 2005.

If you look at page 2 of my Lexus page, it is a timeline (and it is not backwards).

If the blue LED are your only gripe, I consider it a job well done lol. You can't even see the blue LEDs, they were free as I had them lying around.

The hood is brand new. I haven't updated the sig pictures yet.

I guess that's why I haven't seen it in the pics lol. And if you can't even see them then how did I know they were there? lol jk. and yes, it says CarDomain in his sig lol

Never noticed what? That my sig has my cardomain link in it? I bet you don't know my name, either. I

Thanks for the comments! I'm really trying hard (and paying much lol) to build a good car.

Melody, I got this car this year, and couldn't wait any longer. This is my winter ride hahaha... I ride the bike spring summer fall. Gonna start plowing snow soon lol.

I re-uploaded all the pics so that they are larger, full size. Not sure what cardomain is doing lately, but it is screwing things up. Fixed now.

You're a lucky man! I wish I had a bike for 3 seasons out of the year! Oh well, one day.... hahha but yeah, you're definitely gonna be doing some snow plowing being that low. How much did you drop?

It's dropped 2" front and 1.5" rear. Yeah I snowplowed in the Corolla, but that didn't work very well lol. Had to walk home that night in the blizzard :/

The biking was great but it is cold and pitch black in the mornings so I can't get out of bed lol. I've lost the energy for it.... when I got a nice seat warmer waiting in the garage...mmmm

Yeah I bet you did. I wanna lower sooooo bad, but I'm scared of the potholes and not being able to get around in the winter. Is it that big of a difference in functionality if I lower 1-1 1/2" inches?

Kinda random, one thing I really dislike about the IS300 are the tail lights how the reverse lights aren't connected to the rest of the tail lights but instead just two circles on the trunk. It just looks weird to me. I still like the car though lol

Those aren't the reverse lights lol. The reverse lights are the white ones (like on just about every other car) on the bottom of the triangle, right next to the trunk edge.

Btw, do you need pins for that CF hood to prevent it from flying off?

That's only 1.5 higher than mine, so I don't think that it would be that different. But your ride won't be as stiff as mine (I like stiff). But you see how my wheels are.... only 1 finger gap. There are tons of potholes and bumps here, the streets are generally terrible, especially in the city, because we have so much traffic. There is some squeeky noises going over the worst of the bumps, but no tire damage.
Like Mack said, the reverse lights are in the outer lights like everywhere else. The lights on the trunk are dim and bright for the parking and brake lights. A lot of people put these trunk lights on their Hondas and things, so it must be cool, right? lol. But I wouldn't put them on there myself, but since they are OEM, I'll leave them for now to give it some character. Otherwse, the tail lights are just completely boring.
I'd put hood pins on if I raced it on a tack, but the hood has the metal latch and catch built in so it closes just like the stock hood.

I wasn't saying take them off. I just never liked the look of them :p
Thanks for the heads up that they're not reverse though.

Yeah I don't really like the look of them, but it is what it is lol. The back is kinda lame, IMO.

But yeah, reverse lights aren't RED lol.... but I could put clear trunk lights on and make them the reverse, but that would definitely be tacky IMO. I might smoke out the lights instead.

What?! I think the back is the sexiest part of the car lol. And as for dropping... unless I drop an inch and no more, it looks like I'll be at stock height until I can afford to drop the cash for airbags. I can't be static and and hella low in Illinois lol.

I just thought of it like on the rolla those circles are for reverse. I don't even like them on the rolla lol I like the 98-00 reverse better

Yeah I like the 98-00 tails better as well... I just don't like circles, they have no character to them. I'm up in the air as to what to do about the tail lights. I want to leave them stock, because as Melody says, that is what makes the IS the IS. The legendary Altezza tail lights. But I want something cleaner, something that fits the car better. I might make my own tail lights lol.

I'm just curious, what is it about the lights that you don't like? the chrome? or is it something else?

well fortunately, I don't have the chrome tail lights, they are more smoked/gunmetal than the brighter chrome. I mean, I like the tail lights and all, but they sit kinda low on the car, and they are just boring triangles and circles, nothing aggressive. If I do anything, it will probably be to make some outer lights with the upper part redded out, and with a triangular light inside rather than circle.

Actually, probably very similar to these (with my own LEDs though, not so spotty looking).

    That's what she said.

God, I wanna do a JDM yo joke so bad. How many am I allowed to do Hummer? :)

I noticed my hood lifts along the sides a little bit when I'm going down the freeway. But that's like 90 MPH, around town it just sits there. Gonna have to get pins soon or do something homemade.
