You can put together a complete kit for a little over a 1000 WITH FMIC, and the piping for it. Garret turbos are high class, we have corollas not subies or evos.

If you're going for one just for the sound isn't a good thing. You're trusting the internals of your engine on this thing to release excess boost, you should want more than the cool wwshhhhhhhh lol. I'd have it just dump back inside instead of wasting it into the atmosphere.

I wasn't saying you're an idiot, but you stated that you wanted it for a certain sound, just making sure you had your bases covered correctly that's all.

Well thanks man. Good to know someone has my back. :D Dont worry though. I think things through really hard before I do them to my car. I've been thinking about a manual swap for months now. Getting close though. If i can just get my freaking suspension right.

This thread makes me smile. Good to see 8th gen owners still trying to get ponies out of their cars. I cannot wait to save up some funds to purchase another Rolla.

CorollaGT, that Vivid kit looks like it was haphazardly thrown together. If you have the patience and will power to put together your own turbo kit DIY style, I think your life will be filled with much happiness.

/\ I realize that sounds like a fortune cookie but I don't know how else to word it. Maybe this is more diplomatic: there is more merit to doing something yourself rather than paying someone else to do it for you.

It looked like an S model, why the hell did he bastardize the interior? Shoulda left the front and rear bumper, minus the nasty paint job and tacky rims.

My only concern is that without the purchase of this kit, it may cost me way too much to put a kit together, much less finding an upgraded fuel rail for an old econo box car. I was thinking that if I buy this kit, I could built on the stuff it comes with including (ofcourse) the stuff thats missing and replacing with with top of the shelf shit.

Hmmmm he ran 11.7 on boost not that impressive if you ask me (though big ups for a 8th gen doing work) theres a 2zz swapped echo running 11.5 all motor with just I/e with a tune

Well not really, a lot of corollas have been bad ass, all the way back to the AE86... so the corolla has some history, but the echo will always be an echo, I don't care if you stuffed the LS9 from the ZR1 with 638HP, it's still always gonna be an echo with that gay dash lol
