Thanks man. Yeah sure, here's a video of my exhaust (you may have to turn it up a little). I also have two other videos on my YouTube channel which shows what it sounded like with different sized resonators. The video below shows the final product :)

I think the new bumper with the lip you've been NOT showing us will be a great combo :)

Haha, thanks man. This photo doesn't do it any real justice, but here's a shot of the lip test fitted:

I had a black cat named Fluffy, it turned out to be a boy cat lol. I like that cat, she looks like she just doesn't really care about anything haha

Haha yeah she's a very laid back cat. She never really starts fights and would never ever claw or bite you. Funny how you said that your cat named Fluffy turned out to be a boy cat. We have another black cat here called Xena which we thought was a girl for over 10-years, until a few months ago when we went to the vet and they told us that she was actually a he!

yeah, while I feel like I want to hear a lot more from the exhaust, I must restrain myself and come to the conclusion that it sounds perfect for the Corolla. Even from the back, you can hear the engine over the exhaust. So the exhaust is adding a little growl and aggressiveness to the engine, not simply drowning it out as is the ricer way. Once again, Scott is the MAN lol.

Thanks man. I hope you achieve the desired exhaust note that you're looking for. It may take a bit of experimentation, but the end result should be worth it :)

    :D:D:D
That's an awesome thing to say. Thanks bro. I agree 100%. I wanted the car to sound aggressive without sounding overbearing. I was so glad when I managed to get rid of the 'ricer rasp', haha. The end result left it well within the legal sound decibel limit, gave the car a bit more 'character' and last but not least, avoided any unwanted attention from the local 5-0 .

exactly.... it still sounds stock enough, but a little more omph but without sounding like there are holes in the exhaust lol.

I totally had the loud bassy raspy ricey exhaust..... but I admit, it was a lot of fun, and I miss it. The IS300 is silent! lol. But the cool thing is that the IS300 has the 2jz I-6 engine so it will sound super beast with a nice exhaust, as it should.

Bought and installed this today - Rare OEM optional under-dash (floor well) lights. They emit a green glow on both the driver's and passenger's side whenever the door is open, and stay on for about 10-seconds when the door is shut, then fade out. It had it's own control box just like the key light:

Nah, I quite like the OEM green colour, so I'm planning on keeping everything how it is :)

lol, it's not nicer, you know exactly what it looks like. However, Scott has a true appreciation for completely OEM, stock parts, apperance. So I completely understand how he likes all of the green lights. Anything other than the little green bulbs would be out of place and detract from his car really, imo

Yeah the photos don't really do it justice. It's a nice soft light and only illuminates the floor enough to see where everything is :)

That's a very tempting offer, but unfortunately on this occasion I'm going to have to decline :p

Well said. All of the optional extras I've acquired so far have been installed as per the factory specs, so I feel that changing the colour of the bulbs would take away from the overall effectiveness of having something rare and OEM :)

Yeah if you change them to LED or change the color, it won't look OEM at all! Just like any other LED pod spot light thingy.

    Hey Sharpshooter,

Is the AE101 Corolla FX trim sold in NZ? I'm trying to figure out what countries have the AE101 FX trim so I can order the factory FX front lip.

    Hey Wayne,

Yep, the AE101 FX-SJ and FX-GT were imported here, including a number of base models which shared the same front bumper except didn't have the fog lights, lip or other features that were unique to the FX models.

The parts can be ordered brand new from Toyota NZ or sourced from a wrecker.

Just finished installing this - A rare OEM armrest extender (optional extra). It's covered in velour fabric with two slide out compartments either end and still allows you to use the twin storage compartments underneath. It's actually navy blue in colour (the same as my seats) but the flash of the camera made it appear grey. The first two photos are from the original sales brochures:

    Im thinking... interior swap!
