Bruins beat the Canucks last night in game 7 of the Finals. Boston is celebrating.

On the other side, Vancouver is rioting.

Riots also happened in 1994 when Vancouver lost in game 7. It really sucks that they've bounced back since 1994 and still lost in 2011, but these riots don't get anything accomplished. Yea, fire and carnage looks interesting in photographs, but it's completely unproductive.
Hopefully the Canucks management can get it together and realize that the true Canucks fans aren't the ones rioting in the streets. The real fans are those that are moving on with their lives and realizing that hockey is a sport for fun. They should believe that they can make it to the finals next year. Look at the Penguins in 2008 and 2009 (this is coming from a Flyers fan predicting a 2012 Cup victory with Bryzgalov between the pipes).

Side issue: This is a cool photo, but unfortunately it's without a doubt photoshop'd.

yesssss im so happy boston won. Luongo crumbled under the pressure and the Sedin twins are too soft. And Thomas was SPECTACULAR. The guy makes everything looks so easy.

Word. I can't believe the Canucks and Luongo played so poorly. Thomas and Luongo are arguably the two best goaltenders in the League. The 2011 Finals were completely opposite of the 2010 Finals with Niemi and Leighton. Following the 2010 Finals Niemi split time with Niitty in San Jose and Leighton played in the minors for most of the season. I'm interested to see how the Capitals handle the three goaltenders they have (Varlamov, Neuvirth, Holtby). All three have proven they can perform at a high level in the NHL. I also want to see how Corey Crawford comes back in 2011-2012 after a solid rookie season.

    Apparently that photo is real.

Game 3 was one of the best games I've ever seen, I loved the hard hits. If Horton doesnt get knocked out of the series, then I dont see Boston winning the series. His injury sparked the team. Also interesting to see how Luongo was so good at home and then played like trash in Boston.

The Caps just stole a first and second round pick from the Avs for Varlamov. Boudreu is a very good coach, they have two good goaltenders in Neuvirth and Holtby, and their farm team the Hershey Bears consistently provide very good players. Quit bitchin, you have Ovie too.

The Flyers lost Richards, Carter, Powe, Leino, Boucher, Carcillo, and Versteeg and signed Jagr, Bryzgalov, Simmonds, Lilja, and Voracek. Next season cannot come soon enough.

I guess they don't want to bank on Neuvirth and Holtby to carry the entire team this season. Even though they are good, they are young.
