+1. It's a bit like when people buy a replacement corner light or tail light from a wrecker and then leave the words written on it instead of cleaning it off

    EDIT: Bought this today -

Unfortunately not. They rather hard to come by. They're discontinued now. Will fit both the 7th Gen and 8th Gen Corollas. The one I bought was missing a little paint on the strut mounts, so being the fussy bastard I am, I sent it away this morning to get fully sand blasted and powder coated in the same colour :)

:D I came across it from a guy wrecking an AE101 FX-GT. Have only seen a couple of them here in New Zealand. I was considering getting one shipped from overseas, but this worked out a lot cheaper.

Will do! Although I won't be able to send one overseas as it's too long :(. My current 2-point strut brace just makes it in at 1052mm (the limit is 1050mm but they let me send it anyway). I can send those overseas to anyone who wants one :)

This is the one I'm talking about:

How is one too long than the other, they both only go from one strut tower to the other???

Because the 3-point TRD strut brace mounts too all three strut bolts, whereas the 2-point strut brace mounts to just two of the strut bolts, therefore it's shorter in length. If you compare the two in the photos above you'll see what I mean ;)

The 2 point strut brace is worthless. You can literally bend it in half with your pinkys and they don't fit on 8th gens(I've tried) or atleast not the ones from the celiac I don't know if there's a corolla different to
The celiac one. I would assume so though since all suspension components are interchangeable between 8th gens and 7s

Ok yeah the picture didn't load the first time, so I didn't know it was only a two bolt one. But Hummer I remember a post you said you could feel a difference with a two bolt bar, it was on TN.

I definitely wouldn't say they were worthless. They're better than the single strut bars that go across the engine since it bolts to the firewall, and you'd have to be pretty bloody strong to bend it in half. They do fit 8th Gen Corollas. The Celica bars look the same but the fitment is difference, which is why it didn't fit for you. I noticed a difference on mine after I fitted it. Sure, it wasn't mind blowing, but it certainly felt stiffer under hard cornering. They came standard on the AE101 Corolla GT sedan (4A-GE 20v Silvertop), the Corolla BZ Touring wagons (4A-GE 20v Blacktop) and a couple of other models so I'm sure Toyota wouldn't have wasted their money if it didn't do anything ;)

You can feel a difference with any strut brace, im just saying the design of it was terrible at the center of the strut bar the only thing holding it together is a thin piece of metal. I also had mine bolted to the fire wall..

Good point, unless they wanted to fool you with a shiny metallic brace under the hood :) All in all the trd strut bars are definitely better than the original one you had on.

Definitely :). The centre of the TRD strut brace (where it bolts to the firewall) is about 3-times as thick as the OEM one. The diameter of the bars that lead to the firewall are about the same however. The TRD bar weighs about 3kg whereas the other one weighs about 1.3kg. At the very least, the OEM strut brace is a nice addition to any engine bay :D

The 2-point struts bar from the US 88-91 corolla GTS will fit the 7 gen corolla. I have that one in my car.

I put the TRD strut brace on today. I'm well aware of the placebo effect, but it does seem somewhat tighter around the bends :)
