Haha, nah I think they just took it there to dump it. They usually burn cars out down there, which is a shame. You're allowed to drive along the beach as the sand is quite hard, but there's no way in hell I'd take my car along there so it can get covered in salt. Would rust in no time.

Here's some shots that I took today:

Yeah, looked like it was sitting there for quite a while. The whole inside of the car was covered buried in sand, looked partially burnt too. Every panel was dented and all the glass was broken. They would have had to use a crane to pull it out or something.

Here's some photos I took today on the way home from the beach. It's the same location as I took one of the photos from in my sig, but the graffiti had changed a bit since I went last time:

i do like the non HDR pics a lot more. you process the HDR too much, but it's my opinion and opinions don't matter much in art.

Thanks for your opinion man. I process my HDRs depending on the look I want to achieve. Sometimes I go more for the extreme surrealistic look (such as the lake one just above) and other times I just do it very subtly (like the beach shots at the top of this page). 95% of my photos are HDR, but a lot of them you wouldn't be able to tell. Mainly depends on my mood at the time, lol. Also, just in case anyone is wondering, all of the rainbow shots in this thread aren't HDR, although it very much looks like they are due to the lighting from the rising sun :).

Thanks dude. I've got some more to post a bit later on :thumb:.

I think with HDR, its either you like them or you don't. I wasn't a huge fan at first but there are some pictures that look good in HDR.

The director of my school started a series of HDR pics. He took it to the max. I've seen his before and after and its like WTF?!

he just started 3D pictures too. He took the HDR pics and made them 3D. When I went to the school to visit, he had the pictures up and had some 3D glasses. I put them on and was like WTF (again..lmao).

checkout what he does at www.lightyearimaging.com.

I may have overlooked the thread but what software do you use for the HDR processing? Adobe states that Photoshop CS5 will have that feature built in so it'll be easier to do.

Yeah it's definitely a love/hate thing when it comes to HDR. The director at your school sounds awesome, I'll no doubt be like that one day [IMG]. I'll definitely check out that link.

The program I use to process my HDRs is Photomatix Pro 3. The feature to create them is also in Photoshop CS3 and CS4, but I find Photomatix so much easier to use since it's a dedicated HDR editor. I do the resizing, straightening etc in a program called PhotoFiltre as I also find it easier and faster than Photoshop.

Haha great to hear. Thanks mate :).

the director uses photomatix too. When he did his demo to show us how to do it, it looked real easy to do. the new cs5 is supposed to make it easier to do. I find it that doing it in cs4 is just a little harder.

Thanks man. That's one of my favourite beaches. The water is so clear and blue there. A shame I didn't take my togs or I would have gone for a swim.

I went out taking more photos from a different location today. Here's the result:

I haven't had much time to find new places to take landscape shots lately, but here's a shot I took about an hour ago in my backyard or a baby duck (duckling) -
