wow really, i was expecting nissan maxima to be in there.

It’s only a list of 5 which if it was 10 or 15 I am sure more American cars and Hyundai’s would have made it. The only decent car Hyundai has produced is the Tiburon and genesis. All the others are horrible, but there’s a market for super cheap cars.

when my parents were car shopping they told me it loses its value really fast.

PT Cruiser (At least the one I drove) was an absolute hunk of shit. Extremely uncomfortable inside, handled like a wet noodle, had to floor the thing everywhere you went to go anywhere. Brakes vibrated bad under anything more than a feather touch.

i will also pile on with the pt cruiser. i had one for a rental and it was the worst. nothing felt right in it and placement of switches didn't work for me. i don't know how they ended up being so popular to mod. i guess old people need a hobby.

If you use even common sense though, there is no way a Maxima loses value that fast. It's the competitor to the Camry and you don't see that losing value that fast. It's called misinformation. You need to do more research than just reading a magazine.

Exactly. The best way to approach most things is to be skeptical. Credible and several sources of information should be taken into consideration before making a decision, and a rash one at that.

And especially since you didn't read the magazine yourself, the information is even less credible. Word of mouth is one the most unreliable from experience.

I had a neighbor (now deceased) who had a Sebring Convertible, drove it 80 miles a day round trip, and it had 160,000 miles on it when he died.

It may not be worth anything, but it sure was reliable. It out-lived him!

I think if you maintain a car, you can get any car to last a long time.

just like politics, magazines have their favorite car brands. it's always up to the perspective buyer to research and check out the values instead of believing what is told to them or written. the only thing that can't lie is the numbers.

well this was 4-5 years ago when they were buying a new car, sorry for reading something in a car buying magazine and expressing my information on to a forum to be told that people on forums are smarter then the people that review the cars.
