So I borrowed my buddy's Canon Rebel XT and watched a 1hr 30min tutorial on youtube:p. I was planning on doing the shoot during the evening since the forecast was for partly cloudy skies. I wanted to get some nice blue/white contrast from the skies with the grey freeway maze in the background. Unfortunately I woke up to grey skies, but that means I could take pictured in the afternoon without hot-spots from the sun. I tried using full manual mode but I'm still inexperience with setting the aperture size and shutter speed. Most of these pictures were taking in "P" mode which is half auto which still let me control ISO and have some control over preset/recommended aperture/shutter speed as well as focus area. I practiced some composition using method of thirds and tried to mimic angles I've seen in professional automotive photography. I ended up getting about 51 shots off until security came to check me out as I was doing the interior shots. So I rushed to finish up the engine shots which came out crappy. Finally I did a little editing on photoshop.. anyways here are the results:

no doubt your car is clean. you should get a rear lip to go along with your front and side.

I think it looks fine as it is. Plus he has a rear diffuser that doesn't look like it's compatible with any rear lip.

    :)

I could still take you on the twisties if you didn't completely knocked off my suspension setup :p

me too, it really helps with heel-toe downshifts since it raises the height of the gas pedal so that its about the same as the brake pedal. and it's adjustable to make it closer.

I'm actually trying to mimic the JGTC / Super Taikyu look. Most of them either don't run rear lips or even cut away the rear bumper to reduce drag from air getting trapped behind it.

Also rollatuner is right, I decided to go with a diffuser instead.. I might be adding some vortex generators on either side later on.

    :)

    :)

    really? I perfer tang:D

This was at the emeryville IKEA. The freeway overpasses in the background is Interstate 80 about a mile from the San Francisco - Oakland bay bridge.

    Looking great dood...as always.

However, just like the ARC splitters, I just cant get into the rear diffuser(varis?). Just doesnt flow to me. Im sure it looks great in person though, pics probably dont do it any justice. Keep doing what youre doin mang!

What kind of rear diffuser is that anyways? It looks really nice since it's subtle. I almost missed it when I look at the car initially.

East always comes out on top

Always thought that yours was one of the cleaner corollas out there....I prefer the clean look over the "over the top" out there look. I think some can get to the point of being overdone.

Very nice! Any reason why you have a rear strut bar but not a front strut bar?

well I would be dailying it if it weren't for the fact that I go to school in San Francisco. The traffic congestion is so bad during rush hour that I get home 45mins faster if I took the bus/subway. That's why I got some sennheiser earbuds:p And the car became more of a weekend car.

    :)

I thought we had an agreement.. I stay away, you stay away, we all stay happy.:p

Actually the pics pretty much represent how it look in person. It looks great from angles but kinda bleh looking at it straight on from the back. I'm kinda meh about it but I think it looks pretty bad ass for a car to have a diffuser. This one might be a little too universal-stuck-on looking. I might do a APR style like ones you see on WRX and EVOs in the future.

But really, Thanks for your honesty bro.. you always point out the stuff that I'm on the fence about, and its good to hear it from someone else.

I made it myself out of fiberglass. It's made to Varis specifications (they were dumb enough to post the measurements online lol). I was origionally going to do it with carbon fiber but seeing as it hangs inches off the ground, scrapes almost every driveway, and noone going to see most of it anyways, I used fiberglass. I'm thinking of doing vortex generatiors later: http://www.varisusa.com/diffuser0.jpg

but then again like I said earlier I might just do a clean, flush looking one instead:
    http://www.gruppe-s.com/Subaru/subext/APR_rear_diffuser.jpg

Thanks E, I like how you painted the door handles and side moldings of your corolla. ;)

send me your taillights. My labor rate is only $20/hr and I provide you the LED's, resistors, voltage regulators, circuit boards, etc at cost.

    :)

    :)

I drove to SF last thursday and chilled at Vision Performance until traffic cleared. damn president's cup:mad:

Thank's it used to be dodo brown. I painted the dash and reuphostered the seats myself. Except for the Recaro ofcourse;)

What were u going to say?

It's just out to paint. I have a TRD Japan 3 point which was gunmetal but had some chipping paint.. I stripped it and clear coated it to give it a bare metal look but it eventually started rusting. So now it's getting sprayed gunmetal again.

I have all the parts in my room waiting to be retrofit and install LOL. You still got time to help me install some celica seats I have a spare 8th gen car and rail waiting to be cut. Give me a call when you have a chance.

We'll probably be able to work on it during thanksgiving break or winter break. I made the mistake of taking a upper division math class this semester and its eating up all my time.

    I agree as well:p
