8th gen corollla engine noise

Does anybody have this kind of noise from their 8th gen corolla 1zzfe engine?

Ouch that dont sound good at all. Sounds like some piston slap maybe? Was the car at opperating temp? How many miles?

cars got 102,000 miles its been warmed up for about 10 minutes.

i talked to a friend and he had the same exact sound coming from his engine (i saw a video) he told me the cause was because the ignition coil was coming loose which would make sense beause my after market tach has been giving off extremely inaccurate readings... ill have it checked out.

your engine is fucked. mine did the same thing. might be salvagable at this point in time...but yeah mine made the same noise before it blew oput

i highly doubt that seeing as how the sound is coming from the spark plug not inside the engine. I have Pulstars. Noise went away after some tinkering but comes back. Back to OEM i go

Lose spark plug? You definitely have knocking. Izzfe's knock when they are going bad. I hear it on almost all old corollas whenever it's started up next to me.

its only got 100k miles on it LOL so much for a toyota quality if thats what it is.

the 1zzfe was an experimental engine. it wasnt perfected on the 8th gen and they frequently go bad.

mine's going strong *it's scared of turning the car now and see pistons flying out the muffler*
