OK so last night I realized one of my headlights was out. so i need to get a new one. And since i'm anal is the way my car looks i'm going to get a pair so one light doesnt look different from the other. Anyway, I've been sporting Koito bulbs for a while now and they have lasted me for a few years. I'm going for something different this time. Probably going to try Osram brand.

With that said, Just thought i'd start a thread where everyone can talk about bulbs. NO HID talk since we have enough of that on this forum. Regular legal bulbs.

What are you using now? What have you used in the past? What do you like? What do you not like?

I used Sylvannia Silverstars before and loved them.

wrd. I dont know if that bulb i replaced in the ae82 the original one but dayum. lasted 21 yrs srsly...

On a serious note I've been using Wurth All-Weather bulb back in the Philippines. Since it's ALWAYS raining over there those bulb are the best Non-HID lighting solution I've used. I haven't seen them here though.

Sylvannia Silverstars i have the worst luck with. They are hella expensive and they are not bright. they may seem bright but all I can see is the fact that they are just slightly brighter than the regular ones and because it has the blue coat over the bulb, it "look" whiter but not brighter. all my Sylvannia Silverstars have lasted about a year. They seem to be popular though due to the name "Silverstars" which osram also uses the same name. I know Osram Silverstar bulbs are brilliant and I have heard nothing but good from them. However most stores don't sell osram and when sylvannia began using that name, most people i know mistake the two.

I've never heard of Wurth making bulbs.

I've also in the past used PIAAs and the cheap ones which are still expensive in my opinion all suck, Nokya all burns out way too quickly (average of a few months), Raybrig lasts but their bright white is not as bright as other mfr's brightness even though they claim the same brightness and kelvin spec and way too expensive. Sun Auto Bulbs are really nice but also way too expensive. I have yet to try polarg but I haven't personally heard good thing about them. I really liked Phillips vision plus but i got into a car accident after putting it on my old car. Narva I hear is great too but I think Narva and Osram are the same (correct me if i'm wrong). Sooooo I think my next purchase is Osram.

I thought about trying Koito White Beam for a while.. but then I ended up not getting them

I use Sylvannia Silverstar Ultras. Twice as bright as stock, had them for about a year and a half.

I should have bought some cheap ones in the Phils. They are like 10$ for a couple over there. Some even 4100k. But they are japanese/korean.

HID are alway better... i use them.... or if u wana use non-HID lights, hit up luminic lights... bight as hell and price is decent..i had them before my HID

It is always recomended when you change one headlight bulb you replace both so that they match , its not anal to do that .... Same when replacing brake lights , different manufactures use different elements that why someone will have one side brighter in the rear then the other

around where i live, a lot of people have one light different from the other I guess thats what happens when you live in an area thats semi-ghetto

Na it has nothing to do with ghetto , just some people dont want to spend the money , I'm not saying i have done that but in the past I was like shit 10 bucks for one bulb and the other one still works .... heck no I'm gonna spend that other 10 bucks on me ..LOL....

Ah, im so over hids . took them out and now im back to bulb. maybe when i get a car with projectors. or maybe only on my high beams.

ghetto was probably not the best word to be used to but yeah where i live, there are a lot of cheapskates who refuses to spend 3 bux a gallon on gas, however they seem to have money to buy mercs and beamers and stuff.. i just don't understand a lot of the people around me.
