    *Unofficial* Random though/Rant thread!

Well haven't really seen one here, I think there used to be one but I can't find it so I'll start another one...... Here's my rant for the day

Man this blows, I almost got a job at Nissan as a lube tech starting at $12/hr, went through 2 interviews and the manager seemed to like me and told me to go in today, then I go in this morning to find out that this Russian kid got the job, him and I just don't get along since H.S and he's known to be a liar and a cheat. He takes the job from me by talking shit to the manager there saying who knows what about me but that'll cost them dearly cause he is lazy and just a poorly mannered person overall.... He has been fired from like 4 places for taking cars without permission, stealing and wreckless driving. He has ran from the cops like 5 times and just has a horrible driving record too..... Man I am so pissed, this job hunt here in Colorado is going nowhere so might end up moving to Houston for good..... The frustration.... *sighs*

That's exactly what I'm trying to figure out, my driving record is clean, I have good references as well, hard worker and have never been written up or fired out of anywhere I've worked before. I've had prior minor auto tech experience helping out techs at work and such plus working on my rolla too. This kid has ZERO experience, he never even graduated from H.S not has finished a G.E.D, has gone through 4 LS motors on his old Integra and 1 motor on his current S2000, runs from the police, he even screwes his own friends over and it's just retarted.... Just frustrating.

I would still write a polite thank you letter, one directed to those who interviewed you and one to the main manager of the place. If the guy is as bad as you say him to be, he probably won't last too long. At least with the thank you letter and maybe hitting up the place once in a while in the future, that may help you get to know the guys there and so when another opening pops up, you may get first dibs.

I'm just speaking from past experience which has helped me out a lot and helped with great networking. Anyway, good luck with the job hunt.

Yea cost of living here in Denver is out the freakin range!, just too much money and stuff just doesn't get cheaper at all and jobs pay low and crappy here for the price range ppl pay.... Well found out the manager is good friends with him so that's why he got hired but whatever good luck to him, I might get hired right now at the Jeep/Chrysler west store here later on this week, went in this morning and it seems to be going well. Just waiting on my drug results which will clear of course and then start........

Here's my adventure for the weekend.... blah!

I left friday night from Denver to come to Houston so drove all throughout the night and made great time, I wasn't feeling tired whatsoever and had plenty of fluids in the car to drink as well, then stopped to have some breakfast somewhere close to Wichita Falls somewhere and then about after an hour I started feeling just horrible!(Nausea, extreme anxiety, cold sweat, shake, loopy/dizzy)... By the time I made it to Fort Worth I was almost blacking out, I honestly don't even know how I made it that far (hwy 287 and Western Center exit). I had to call 911 of course and I got taken in to JPS Health E.R off of Main st, they took bunch of blood from me for testing, gave me like 3 bags of fluids, some sleep and of course I had food poisoning.... I got released later on that night after I felt much better of course and got to a hotel with my dad and uncle who drove up from Houston to get me at the hospital after getting my beloved rolla who I was worried about cause I didn't want it to get stolen haha.... All in all man what an adventure, I certainly don't want to feel like that ever again... So yea that's my story for the weekend for me lmao!

I just came to find out that the Gatorade I bought was expired since fucking April so of course I'm sure that's what caused it.... Funny part is that this is the 3rd time I've bought an expired bottle of Gatorade at a damn gas station, ridiculous crap and just poor quality check from the stocker.... I just feel stupid cause I should've checked since it has happened before.... I doubt it was the Sonic I ate cause it didn't taste weird or anything. Kinda hard to tell since I drank that Gatorade and ate the food pretty much within like 15 mins of each other...

That sucks that you got food poisoning. Also just a heads up. Gatorade is good for like 8 months after the expiration date. They have to put the early Expiration date on them for legal reasons. Only reason I know this, is I worked for Coca-Cola, and Pepsi before. Hope you are feeling better :)
