Everyone that has installed the TWM has liked it. But I know the Celica shifters fit the 8th gen Rollas, and they're much cheaper.

I bought mine off of ebay. Fidanza (possibly knockoff). Came with solid base bushings, and it's been great for the past 2 years. I think I paid somewhere around $25 shipped.

Hah I definitely feel I overpaid... Nice, i'll give it a try before I cave and let the local mechanic do it.

Should I switch to a heavier shift knob?

I am using the leather wrapped and stitched TRD one which is lighter than the stock knob. I have read that a heavier knob make shifting more solid.

    What knobs do ya'll use?

I like the feel of the TRD knob myself. I've gone through two others and went back to it but neither was a weighted shift knob.

The installation is time consuming but not hard. It's just the fact that you have to remove the kick panels, glove box, and both center consoles just to get to the shifter. Everything interlocks to that trim piece on top of the shifter.

I got on my 07 Civic, TWM short shifter, base and cable bushings. To finish it off I add a 400 gram Skunk2 shift knob, I can shift with 1 finger

if you can even find them. and the only difference is that you get the basket and bushigs with it. i bought my own bushings and used my stock basket..feels the same as a trd short shifter.
