    we are but arent. it would be awesome for when we get to it but it isn't at the top of the list so whenever you get around to it.

    dude your probably gonna be making more than that unexpectedly. :D plus you wanna keep your motor used to that stress , you dont wanna shock it when you do go to high boost , kinda like the dude with the accord.

    250-270 should be fine....i won't be driving it everyday anyway. couple times a week at most just to keep her loose

    Got the rest of the parts from NextGenTuning for my fpr kit. It is now complete!

    FYI, per mr2oc guys who have done this quite a bit.... shimming the oil pump:

    coulda cost about $1.00 instead.


    after running a toga high volume pump this is what someone else said:

    FYI for other future builders. Shimming the pump won't help at idle, but most of us aren't too concerned about oil pressures/volumes at idle as long as it's feeding what it needs to at idle (which any stock or better pump should be able to supply freely).

    $1800 for 4agze/e-58 instaled
    $2200 in parts (turbo , intercooler , standalone , etc.)
    $ 700 for labor
    $ 500 for dyno tune

    sorry it's only half completed.. I drew this from my personal hand written notes. Since they were my own notes, I did not bother writing down the obvious stuff like the 8 wires coming from the Relay Box which you only have to match up with the colors of the wires coming from the mirrors harness. I have the mirrors at work so I can't just look at the wires and complete the diagram. This should be enough to wire them up tho

    about 10 hours of custom modifications , just to get the s/c to fit with the bigport intake. it was a pain in the ass to say the least. now we have to address the cam angle sensor and the header. ill be addressing that tomarow , any way , heres some progress pics:

    interesting.... bigport gze with a smallport sc12... unless I'm seeing things wrong and that's an SC14.

    nope your seeing it right:D the t3 t4 w/50 trim on the 4age spools anywhere between 3200-3500 rpms. the sc12 will help in the bottom end "uumph" till the turbo spools. keep in mind this motor is going into a 7th gen corolla , theres no way i would be able to fit an sc14 w/ the bigport acc. in the engine bay , without heavy modification.

    if we see that the sc12 stock 10 psi velocities wont do the trick theres always the NST 16 psi kit , to up things just a bit :D but really considering , that the sc is only used from 1000-3200 rpms , and then feeding the turbo till it exceeds the cfms the sc produces , it should fare quite nicely. well find out in the coming weeks.

    what exactly do you want , and can you get your car from texas to here , and cash in hand? arent you jobless?


    also i modified the cam position sensor today , and got it to fit and clear the manifold with full adjustabilities. pics soon.

    notice people , its been brought to my attention that this engine has no performance potential at all. . . . . . . . . . .:rofl:

    damn, thats looks tight! Are you sure the sc wont bang into the firewall when the engine is pulling?

    And I can never figure out how you guys drop in a engine without using a tilt bar

    na , just use a prybar to line the mounts up once you get it about where you want it . well me and brandon both are pretty big guys. as for the firewall clearance , its golden.

    I have the bar pictured.... only use it for quick moving of the engine around...

    otherwise I just use tie down straps..... really handy, hook onto just about anywhere... and can be adjusted quickly...

    starter for that shoulda been the same for an s/c MR2...? I had an e58 starter on my e51 without any problems (FYI for the future...)

    yeah , the 4afe starters work as well , as well as the 7afe outaa the celica too. i think all fwd 4a engines share starters. basically al the bell housings are pretty much the same , i think the rwd's are the only difference.

    depends on intake or exhaust side....

    didn't know that an intake side C series would fit on an E series....

    not sure how much truth there is to it, but I've read somewhere that the power output on the starters for the E series are nearly double what the 4afe's have.... the 4age starters are somewhere in the middle.... (again, though, not sure on the truth to that).

    the exhaust side 4age (all US FWD/MR2's) have nearly identical starters to the ae86 SR5... not 100% sure on the GTS

    i used my 4afe starter on my gze/e58 for the longest time. ive only seen intake side mounted starters in the fwd 4a's

    ae86's don't really count.... but the exhaust on the SR5 is on the passenger side with the starter on driver side.... GTS has the exhaust on the driver side and the starter on passenger side (they use diff. bellhousings).
