I haven't seen it myself, but I've heard it was pretty good. I don't think they should continue them anymore though.

lol there were like 3 race scenes, and wth you mean no ricey cars? did you see the mustang with the flames in the garage scene... not my cup of tea. more action then racing, fast and furious? i say it was more like the slow and for confused.

It was pretty good actually, didn't notice the mustang though, i liked the BMW in the first race.

    The "GT-R" isn't a skyline it's a Kazio GT-R seeing as the skylines are illegal in U.S.A.
The Honda NSX was the most modified car in the whole movie by far, which is sad really. All the rest are just movie cars/posers.

Since when are skylines illegal in the United States? I personally know two people who have had registered R34's here in the United States. Not to mention their was a shop called CoolCatRacing that had two R33's that were registered and street legal.

Skylines are not illegal, some states might be illegal if it came stock from Japan- such as Cali with its strict pollution laws but They're anything can be modified to be street legal. I knew a guy that ordered a BMW from Germany, and had to strip off 1/4 of its horsepower just to make it legal.

The movie was great IMHO. Story line is nice too. +1 for the beemer in the first race. Best part for me were the women.

GT-R are legal but very hard to get most of the time and as KenAJUSA said passing emissions and registration is a bit tough. Because (i) the car was never sold here (skyline) and (ii) the car has never properly gone through crash and safety tests. There was only one company who was able to import sell the cars legally was motorex (who i believe could only import R33???), however they went down several years ago. Now you can't really import a whole car which is why some companies will import bits and pieces at a time and then put it back to gether in the US (which is legal). There are others who import it from Canada but that doesn't seem to work as well from what I hear since registration just becomes extremely complicated. Once you get the car imported, you have then then mod the engine so it will be able to take the fuel here in the US, change cats and stuff to meet your states emissions, and then go through hella loop holes to get it registered as well as renewing registration. Everything is just time consuming and costs a lot of money.

My friend has an R32 and that car has spent more time in the mechanics garage than it has driving on the open road. 4 out of 5 times I go visit him, his car isn't there because something broke again.

yeah, modifying and getting cars like a GT-R from japan can be such a big hassle. that's why my next car will be almost stock.

I actually liked it. Confused me at first seeing Hahn then I realized it took place before tokyo drift. I guess the next one will be coming out in January and bring back even more old characters like tyrese and all them. And in all street racing movies your going to have rice, but thats what separates the nice from the rice isnt it ;)

Ive always been a fan of all the Fast and Furious movies. If it wernt for them i would have never gotten introduced into the tuner scene and I know im not the only one on here :p

a lot of the cars are from various people that just want their cars in the movie, who knows if that 240 converted silvia actually had some power, but i liked it, i cant say as much for 2Fast or Tokyo IMO

I think the first one was best just because it was basicly the underground scene of street racing at night time and didnt really have much of a theme like 2fast2furious. Tokyo drift kinda had that same concept but seemed too "hollywood" IMO

The subaru was almost perfectly stock, with weight reduction done. That's it. There was a special article in Import tuner about the movie.

there were more subaru's in the beginning in pre-production. however the producer i think didnt like it. It was originally more rally style racing and that was the original concept for the movie but producers didn't like it therefore they got rid of the initial director? and refilmed everything to what it is now.

I got this information from one of the film crew while giving blood one day. since panovision is like almost right around the corner from where i give blood every few months, I bump into people from there sometimes.

i heard it was supposed to be a rally-theme which would have been interesting but wouldn't be 'fast and the furious' since its usually on a closed course n shit.

4f4f had the worst cars ever! And WTF ever happened to Vin's RX7? did he just leave it in the parking garage in 1f1f and forget all about it?

Yea and the redneck kid from 3f3f annoyed the hell out of me.
