    think my car is ko'd

    was driving to the train station this morning...and it was ticking the entire time, and occasionally blowing smoke out of its ass. when i got there...my car smelled like gasoline being unburned and studdered when i turned it off

    don't eat that too often. the studies show it's pretty bad for you (bacteria wise)

    2zz route would be nice but it's costly. sounds like your engine is on its last legs so I dunno how long you can go without something.. unless you don't have to drive it every day

    That's what the wasabi is for. Wasabi activates the mucous membranes, which sweeps away bacteria and has some antimicrobial macrophages also. So IMHO I don't think its realy bad for you. :twocents:

    Mine is the same because of my brother. Valve lashing and a rod knock. I need to fill her up with the lucas crap to thicken the crap out of the oil so the rod knock isnt too loud.

    i drive ever day except for thursday. normally just 10 miles back and forth to the train station. so it will survive for that.

    my mom was like..well you have to expect to pay at least 5000 for the engine alone...i was like uhh i can get them for 800....and shes like OH well lets change it then...so idk if i will get a new one soon or not.

    try the junkyard... there are tons of corollas (98-02) just lying there... my friend got a pretty clean stock engine there for 200 when his died (too many performance parts on non-racing engine)

    none of the junk yards here are selling 98 corolla engines. i called the toyota junk yard and they said they had 3 corollas in that all had seized engines =[
